I stumbled onto ths series when I was channel surfing in 1987 and I fell in love with #YR since that year. This is an awesome TV series that I seriously fell in love with and I recently showed this series my wife and she's been hooked to it also and we love it. Here's to another 50 awesome years for generations to come. Y'all rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Doug Davidson should have also had a special episode for his 40th anniversary as well. Other people later got a special episode, and they started after him!! ( Nikki, Michael, Lauren, Ashley and Traci)
Too bad Jerry Douglas didn’t get a mention on this 50th anniversary show or on the show itself when he passed away in real life. He passed away in November 2021.
I am a fan of 50 years. My introduction was when Nick and Sharon lost Cassie. When Ashley lost her baby. I watch how Katherine found out that Jill slept with her husband and gave birth to Phillip’s son. I remember that Marge was a twin image of Mrs. Chancler. I love Y&R. Don’t get me talking about what they did to Sage: Christian’s mother.
Bryton James has suggested a few people to return to the show . Also suggested Michael Graziadei (“Daniel“) Chene’ Lawson was the original “Yolanda Hamilton“. Now, if he just would suggest Doug Davidson (“Paul Williams”) back on!!
@@mjj1434 Um....I think you are talking about something totally different. I'm talking about Erica from the housewives. She wasn't on the show in the 1970's lol
I still love you Ashley....LOL Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) has daytime TV's first legal abortion. Her abortion was simply because she didn't want to have the child.
Josh Griffith talks about romance and suspense but he lacks in the dramatic suspenseful side of things. Bill bell, Kay Alden, Maria bell, sally sussman and even mal young were better in areas that josh Griffith can’t do.

He should but he was pissed
my mom loved young and the restless so much she actually named me after the Nikki Newman character
The Jill and Kay feud is the primary reason why the show gained success.
Tec1 always great Story lines History.3 to 11Tec Out.😊
They are on the same level as Days of our lives !
I love this show 😍🔥❤

Laura-Lee & Bradley Bell, please defend your parents' legacy and the livelihoods it supports!

All of THAT and you put ERICA in the thumbnail 🙄
@Little Miss Stamper - I don’t see that on mine .
Her character had the first abortion on television in the 1970’s , it wasn’t Ashley in 1987.

Where was Michael Damian…. Played Danny Romalotti

Ashley wasn't the first daytime character to have an abortion; Pat on Another World was the first.
Where's Paul?
Was it just me or did Sharon Case look like she was a little bit high or something?
Erika Jayne was on the show????
