I love your channel and videos! Feeling I’m the driver. Great work keep it up and getting better. Have a great time my friend
Thank you so much for watching! You rock and I appreciate the kind words. Yes, when I first started, I was shooting at 720p now I'm filming videos at 2k. Improving everyday lol
Likewise! Really love the videos. Wish for more content on the old IS trims and 350 too if available. I’m sure lots of people would like to see that.
Mines has 150k miles, still runs and looks like it came out of the factory
And with good maintenance, it'll keep going for another 150k👍🏽
@@JustAfakeSourcethose things can last a million bro
@@lukaa2173 oh, most definitely. Them Toyotas/Lexus cars could outlive their owners if they wanted to😂
Nice Lexus, love my is250 too
I just purchased one, Need tips lol
It goes pretty well still nice
I am thinking of getting an IS of this generation as a first car, but most of the cars I have seen on CarGurus have very worn leather, I guess that shouldn't be a deal breaker and that is fixable but it is a very good car for around 7K, and it definitely is impressive with the features you get for under 10K, much better options than a BMW 328i or Mercedes C class, which I am also considering but the reliability and maintenance is what makes me nervous about those German luxury cars.
You’re just like me bro im also thinking about this car or a 2015 Corolla 😂. Let me know what u end up with and maybe a picture too
@@naizcur no way I’m considering a 2015 Corolla 😂
@@ammarisrar2005 happy new year mann, any update? What did u end up with
I was in the same situation choosing between IS250 and 325i from 2010. Both cars were immaculate with under 100,000km and top of the line. The BMW drove nice and was a bit more responsive but already was making clunky sounds in the front shocks. The interior looked nice but was tacky and cheap with fake leather seats. It had xenon lights like the Lexus but they didn't move around when steering. The BMW's also suffer from the shitty valve stem seals and even tho it wasn't smoking yet, I could smell the oil burning from the exhaust. It also felt a little clunky when shifting at times and had a shallow travelling floor mounted accelerator that was easy to hit the floor during normal driving. That Idrive crap system took so much of your concentration from the road trying to navigate through it. The stop start button paint was starting to rub off. It was just so poverty inside.
I checked out the Lexus and it was built like a tank. Heavy bank vault front doors and was loaded with options from the mark Levinson touch screen sound system, adaptive xenon lighting, cooled and heated seats, rear sunshade, electric steering wheel and it was a lot smoother and solid. No clunks, longer travelling accelerator pedal and gave me peace of mind that it will be reliable. Lexus IS doesn't suffer from valve stem seal failure and is cheaper to maintain.
100,000km later and haven't had a single issue. All the gizmos still work, ac is cold, no leaks of any kind and the engine and transmission are bulletproof.
What's wrong with the engine being so loud??
I want that car so badly, but they are hard to come by in a good condition
@@marioayala3910 exactly bro, I been searching for a while and the market is super stale or filled with high mileage/salvaged cars. It sucks cuz I love these cars so much and would kill to own one.
@@JustAfakeSourcebro. Same lol
Loving these older Lexus’ and what a convenient spot for the key! Heard some ticking from the engine though and the interior seems used and abused 😅
It drove perfect but I did not buy it bc of how loud the engine was. The seats didn't worries me, that stuff is all fixable lol
@@povnelson2019That is a V6 , it should be loud no? Lmao
@@davidkosiba624talking about the ticking
Love the lexus but I've seen some of these engines and transmission getting blown out before 200k miles.
I test drove this vehicle, and it drove and performed well. Even better than I expected. but ended up not buying bc the motor was wat to loud.
@@povnelson2019 figured because when you were doing a walk a around I heard the ticking sound to be a little to loud, maybe you should've ran an OBD and see what codes came after you drove it.
that's pretty rare though, most can run 300k plus no problem
cool I'll buy one for a classic 👍😃
Everyone in this comment section deserve a shoutout
This was the wrong video. lol with one test drive I make 2 different videos and 3-4 shorts lol I was up till 2am finishing the video. So tired that I posted the wrong one. but your 100% right. Everyone deserves a shoutout now lol
Keeping your hand on the shifter of an automatic like a proper tool 😂
Nice car, the only bad thing is the fuel consumption 🫤
Typical of mostly any is of all generations. Some thirsty cars
What's bad about if fairly economical
Why you didn't speak in this video I thought this is a different channel 🙃
Sorry I posted the wrong video I will be posting the correct one tomorrow. Make sure to comment if you want another shoutout lol.
Is that engine noise normal?
yes
no!
It's normal, but this has quite louder than mine
@@JeremyReiding where is it coming from exactly? What part of the engine?
