I’ve had an 07 IS350 since 2017, best used car value for a quick and reliable compact sport sedan as long as you don’t want a manual transmission. Got it with 84k and now has 124k miles, no issues. Only big maintenance I’ve had to do was the alternator around 100k miles which is normal for Toyotas of this era.
Hey man a couple days ago I just bought me a 2006 is350 and I want to thank you cus you were the guy who made me fs know that I wanted the car. I just wanted to thank you for the reviews and keep this up, you help a lot of people tryna buy cars. 🔥🔥
I bought an 06 is350 for $3,500. It has some aesthetic details but engine and transmissions is solid and body has no dents or rust. I gotta say I love that car, it feels super planted and solid. In snow mode it feels very easy to just cruise yet it feel strong. On normal or sport that thing is a bullet.
I did the exact same thing .......bought the 06 for the same price..... truthfully the only major thing I did was rebuilt the tranny.....bought it with 303k on it.....got over 370k and driving as im writing this message
I'm currently taking all the seats off to deep clean the carpet. Only repair I've done was the ac compressor. Got one on a junk yard for $35 and did the repair myself. About $150 total and it's cooling great
Awesome video man! Im picking mine up Saturday 06 1 Owner Clean title w/134K miles for 10k! I’ve searched in a 250 miles radius only found 5 350 are so hard to come buy! Im lucky because dealers saving it for me and wife picked up 09 250 last month great daily!
good price. I got mine with 124k also one owner last 16 years for 11k. I got super lucky cause i saw when it barely posted and so I immediately bought it that day
I see IS250s around every now and then and pictures and videos do NOT do the Proportions of this car properly. In person this car is gorgeous 🎉. I can't wait to own one some day
I have an IS250, which I love. I certainly would like to drive an IS350. Although it would be fun, that's not why I bought the 250. It's a sport luxury sedan. It's not a race car. The IS 250 is a great daily commuter. Extremely reliable. Gorgeous looking. I have not had a problem with it. It would be nice to have the 350 power, but I don't drive it that way. Can't beat the car for the price!
@fmifu4100 I definitely use the highest octane available, 91, it's a high compression engine so you need to have 91. mine is all-wheel drive, so I get 26 mi per gallon on the highway, and 20 in the city.
Just to let you know I just put an offer in on an 06 IS 350. Red and absolutely gorgeous. Your video convinced me I was making the right decision. Thanks!
Had mine for 3.5 years now bought at 83k miles now at 106k miles no issues except that what the mechanics created. Had a hole in the backbox silencer. Taped it up. Fine now. Maintain them. Oil Change every 6 months. Only issue is the fuel is awful. If you want to do local runs and short journeys expect 19/21mpg. Mixed driving 25mpg. Medium around 32mpg (mix of B roads and motorways and local). Motorway I have achieved 44mpg at best. Decently fast car for what it is. Smooth. Advice: Make sure you have a fuse grabber in your fuse box if not find one they are micro fuses. Carry a pack of spare fuses (cheap). If you ever do your spark plug change after 100k miles you might want to change you tube seal gaskets. I have done the rocker cover gasket seal on my one as preventative maintenance due to some oil on spark plugs. Now fine. Do the trans fluid full change (full oil, filter and gasket seal). I have 2.5 not 3.5
I'm currently looking for a new car and this is on my list. Thanks for the video man! I'm also a newer RUclipsr so I subscribed immediately for the support. Us newbie RUclipsrs gotta stick togother!
Other cars in this price range I’ve owned that are great deals are first gen Hyundai Genesis sedans with the 4.6. 375 HP sound great and are actually very very reliable. I also owned a C55 amg; 2006. U can find a decent example for 6-8k. Super reliable amg with the 5.4 v8 and 5 speed. But besides that the Lexus is350 is probably the best bang for buck for luxury and sport
You need to turn off traction control and do a soft launch by holding the brake and gassing it up to 2k RPM to get a time around 4.8 to 5.0 seconds. Also helps to put it in ECT Power mode and shifting into Sport but limit the gears to 6 and let it shift on its own. By putting it to 6 in ECT PWR you let the car go through the whole rev band if you gas it to the floor. (07 IS350 owner)
Incorrect. The car actually accelerates faster in normal mode with traction off. Normal mode holds gears to redline while sport mode shifts to the next gear a bit sooner but holds gears longer. Basically, sport mode is better for spirited driving or track driving. There are multiple forums and the notes on this online.
@@sdlausen1 If you put the ECT PWR on with Transmission in S and limit it to 6th gear, it won't change the shift pattern as ECT PWR normally does. It will just make the throttle response better while keeping the shift pattern as it is normal D. I know exactly what you're saying but what I'm saying is different, because putting it in S with 6 on the cluster and ECT PWR on will not give you the same early shifts.
I bought a 2010 Lexus IS 350c ( hard top convertible) with 143k miles for 9k. Awesome car. Plenty of power and so smooth. The convertible is nice for southern California. I don’t drive it fast, I just love to cruise. The smooth lines are timeless. This is a extra car I plan on keeping for a long time
Got a 2006 Lexus IS350 with 180k. Previous owner lowered the car with Tein suspension and you can feel every small bump on the road. Still love to drive the car. You can also push the button for power mode.
Got a is250 about a year ago, looked for is350 for a while right after college but couldnt find any 2nd gen but the is250 gets the job done for now got everything the is350 has just less power

Recently picked up an 06 IS350 from a work buddy I ended up getting close with, it’s a salvage title with 250k mikes on the body and the motor and trans are around 180k. Despite some cosmetic flaws, this thing still hauls ass. Believe it or not, I managed to hit 140 in it on the freeway about 3 months ago. (No the car isn’t stock)
replacing pvc valve is cheap and helps with oil burning issues or consumption just needs a crowfoot because it is hard to reach but a cheap part to replace.
Also jusr hit 219k miles on my is350 never had anything major happen besides the stuff I caused ,maintenance really isn’t that bad either as in it’s pretty cheap to maintain
Paid $15k AUD for mine with 125k's. Love the power and driving style. Sporty but chilled and cruisey at the same time. Great stereo. Super reliable and has a lot of features for a 15 year old car.
