New sub here. My mom made most of my clothes until middle school when all I wore was jeans and my mom's only sewing weakness was jeans lol I cannot tell you how many times I fell asleep listening to the cutting of fabric on our dining room table. And then her sewing machine. I'll be 60 in May and mom as been gone since 2002 but listening to this made time travel right back to 1966 and first grade. So very comforting and relaxing! THANK YOU!!!! for this.
Listening to these sounds takes me back to when I was a little girl and my big sister, who made all of her own clothes, would cut out her patterns while I sat next to her reading. It actually brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for making this video.
This is wonderful. Thank you for making it after my request. The clicking of the pins in the plastic case brought tears to my eyes. My mother sewed most of her life. My memories of her go way back to being a little girl. She was still sewing when I was grown with a family f my own. That sound was ubiquitous. I could see her, reading glasses on, with the chain to hold them around her neck, chin forward as she worked, checking the pattern just as you did. And then you started to cut. Oh, my, but that so brought me back. I loved the cutting sound! Your scissors are the same shape as the pair my mother used. They belonged to her mother, and I have them now. They are not so shiny, but they are so special.
That’s a beautiful memory Andrea. I too, wear glasses on a chain. 😁 I have your request written down for loving words and smoothing bedsheet sounds etc. I am not being precise in my description. I have a copy of our conversation so when it comes time I will revisit that. I’m glad this one worked for you too! 😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️
When I was around 9 we had to write in school our fav sound some answers Birds, ice cream truck, their mum's voice Mine was the sound of huge dress making scissors cutting long lengths of fabric on a heavy solid wooden bench lol
Thank you for subscribing! What an amazing coincidence Tui! So glad I made this video afterall. You must have a great memory of mom or grandma making clothes. 🥰
When I first saw the title, I thought "The cat is gonna love this one" and lo and behold, within the first frame, who do I see? Kitty! Hehehe (I often wonder if cats experience ASMR. My cat adores crinkles and has a crinkly sack that she sleeps on and in. My mother sewed and sewed and sewed when I was young and I have many memories of her with patterns and fabric spread on the floor or the dining table. She is 80 and STILL sews! She does the most delightful, tedious hand smocking and embroidery. I sewed a bit for a few years when my children were young but I really didn't need to because mum would do it all for me any way lol I would rather sit and play the piano for hours :-) LOVELY video, as always! Thank you! Enjoy your day, Rebecca :-) xx
I grew up in a family of naturally gifted musicians who all excel at piano. When I was little and wanted desperately to learn, my parents couldn't afford a piano and lessons and so, everytime that I got near a piano (mostly in Church), I would sit and pick out all of my favourite choruses and hymns by ear. Eventually, I became so good at playing by ear that I became the Church pianist and was for around 30 years. I also sing. I LOVE to sing harmony in duets and trios etc. I thank the Lord so much for the ability to sing and play. It is so therapeutic and has seen me through some challenging times. I don't play in Church these days but I love to sit and play at home :-) xx
I’d love to hear you Kerin! Make a video of yourself playing the piano and post it on your RUclips channel! 😃 And then send me the link! What do you say?
I will see what I can do! I am terribly camera shy but then, I guess that all you really need to see is my hands hehe If you can do it, several times a week, I can do it once :P xx
Dearest one~ I'm sorry I haven't commented much lately, but I'm still here; glued to all of your videos, both old and new! I'm so thankful that your videos are all stored here on YT, to be watched at any time of day or night...it's like having a bank [memory bank] that we can draw on any time we want! This one is rife with memories of both my mom and my grandma, sewing. When I close my eyes, I'm 8 years old; standing on a stool while my mother holds pattern pieces against me for fitting; or turning up a hem. I wore hand sewn clothes all the way through high school, can you believe it??? Thank you for eliciting such precious memories; especially as I grow older...they become more precious over time. So wonderful to see your channel doing so well

Then, I used to make shirts for my boyfriend (S). They loved that. 😍 🤗🤗😘😘❤️❤️❤️❤️
Rebecca, I just want you to know that I'm really grateful for your work during this crazy time. It truly relaxes me and helps me go to sleep when I am anxious and fearful. (I help care for my mother who is 90 and we have her quarantined and we are semi-quarantining for her safety.) I often listen to your bible study video while I study scripture in the morning, too. Your efforts are an effective ministry to me and I'm sure to many others. Thank you, and stay well. ❤ Becky

Newly subscribed. I see that this is 3yrs ago but wanted to thankyou for "old school" vintage paper pattern sounds... My whole family were seamstresses. I can appreciate that you tackled this request but ooooo....my Grandma would've scolded you for "lifting up the fabric, pattern and scissors OFF the table LOL?!"... that's a sewing "no-no" 😂 Also, looks like you have decent scissors- it's the sloooow cutting-sound they make against your table that gives the best TINGLES! Thanks for trying.

Oh and in case u are wondering, suppository wasnt a typo..! I used to work at a pharmaceutical plant that made suppositories......yup, we produced rectal evacuants...hemoroidal ones as well...I really liked that job! Seriously, I did! Some of us more naughty employees would squeeze the ends of the glycerin ones and shoot them across the room at each other.....they could really fly if you were good at it!!!!😁😁😁😏😏😏😏🥰🥰🥰😆😆😆😆😂😂😂😳
😂😂😂 I can totally picture you doing that! I knew it wasn’t a typo. You can’t mistake that word. There must’ve been a real element of camaraderie in that place. I really hate sewing Kelly. This project will not get finished in this video. I’m handing it over to the Goodwill in hopes that someone else will sew it.
Your vids are so relaxing! You are a great asmrartist! Thanks a lot
Thank you so much Anthony! 😃😃😃

Hi Rebecca, I just love paper cutting sounds and hope you do more in the future. Maybe cutting recipes out of magazines.
I do have that request in my notebook somewhere. So I will be doing it eventually.
One of your best! 🤗
Really? 😀 Nice to hear it. ❤️❤️❤️
Rebecca’s Beautiful ASMR Addiction - Love the crinkle sounds along with fabric. Relaxing! 😴

I like that pattern. Do you know the number? Sewing is so therapeutic
It’s vintage. I bought the pattern at an antique store. I don’t think the numbers going to help you at this point. I’m sorry Beth.
Rebecca’s Beautiful ASMR Addiction it’s ok. Thank you anyway. Wonderful video

you have not finished the video, will you continue?
I’m afraid not. I just don’t like sewing. So I’m giving it to the Goodwill all intact and hope someone finishes it.

I thought you sewed it, ok it doesn't matter
I know it's not a real sewing video, but I can't get past that your fabric isn't prewashed and ironed. Takes me right out of the asmr.
I didn’t know it wasn’t. I received it from my friend. Hmm 🤔
And yes, this garment was never made because it was just for a video. I absolutely hate sewing even though I know how.
hi rebecca,
please dont ever edit your videos like this again, it is very annoying, the speed of the video is way to fast , looks like your having a attack with your hands shaking like that.
I have no idea what you are talking about. Roberre, I have never heard from you before that I can recall and here you pop on to say something negative. 👎 Bad manners.
I usually delete these kinds of messages but you addressed me by name so it was noteworthy. So tell me, are there any of my videos that you like?
Did you just watch what I watched.... Me thinks ya tripping lol.
