When I was a kid I did some basketball summer camp thing and I remember on the last day Rick Mahorn came in and signed shirts and took a picture with everyone. As a kid I didn't realize what his reputation was now as an adult I look back at that picture and laugh so hard 😂
When Flanel speaks I remind myself, he doesn’t follow basketball - he doesn’t follow basketball… it’s sad when this panel becomes so REACTIONARY from game to game and forget the outlook of this team in building towards a CHAMPIONSHIP… y’all want to pursue injury prone, overpaid, players who don’t lead their teams to payoffs. Watch if you get Ingram or LaVine paying them $50+ mil for them to sit the bench injured and not play defense while their knees degrade in front of our eyes….
In their defense people inside the Pistons organization have interest in both Ingram and LaVine. I've been opposed to either but as long as decision makers are considering it, the idea isn't crazy.
@ I hear you, AND it’s a high-risk mid-reward at best. If they follow the OKC model they will develop the core and not commit major monies to players until ready to go all in. Remember SGA has been averaging over 20ppg since the 2020 season and over 30ppg the last three seasons and only this last offseason did they spend on Free Agency!
I mean Tobias has never been that dude that you rely on to settle the ship at any point in his career. Even when he was with the clippers he wasn’t that dude, it was Lou will that would take that shot or settle the offense down. He’s missing open shots.
We need a PF or Center giving us at least 18 and 8 RB Orlando and Houston both shutting down team inside. Houston Rockets Alpen Sengun Jabari Smith Jr Steven Adams Orlando Paolo Banchero Goga Bitadze Moritz Wagner Wendell Carter These guys have a good inside presense. And big guys who can bang inside. And defense.
Do these guys get paid by the word or just like hearing themselves talk? Why are they acting like Harris was going to answer many questions? That was a disappointing & embarrassing performance. This team isnt good enough to say a game should be a win. What do you think the majority of teams say when they see us on the schedule? Gotta deliver more consistent performances
Why did Trajan give Harris a bad contract instead of signing two young veterans with that money? They expected more because that's what the organization expected
@ $26M for 2 years isn’t bad in terms of this NBA. Harris is who he always been, a solid 3rd/4th option depending on who he plays off of. Those 17/18 ppg in Philly not as easy here as we have no Embiid and Maxey 🤷🏾♂️ Too much was made out of him being this veteran presence and he was filling a need. Filling a need doesn’t mean improvement
@michaelpowell9152 do you think any team would give the Pistons a first and an expiring contract for Harris? It's not just Tobias being an iffy third option. It's also not pursuing young veterans instead of wasting the cap on a guy who will retire soon.
@ I’m under the assumption of how to make the money match. I believe the 2nd year of Harris deal is guaranteed. I don’t think you would get both. You talk about younger vets but how productive are they? Would you be suspect of a team moving on from a young player for an older one? I’m sure much would depend on the team needs and where they are headed/needs🤔
We have a serious problem of inconsistency. Big game against the Heat with a victory. Lose against a 6-20 team. Ron what are you doing? You're not that guy. Be better. Play better. This is TOTALLY unacceptable. I'm running out of patience.
Rollin stood up for Reed dint let nobody punk us this is a step of pistons basketball don't try to clown us I would of prolly hit Clarkson tbh just to prove a point fine me fck it
They lost that game because they never engaged on the defensive end outside of Reed and Holland until it was too late. Even Ausar was pathetic on that end at first, foul trouble doesn't excuse that poor start. The Jazz had open looks most of the night and those went in during the stretches of bad defense, the open shots that the Jazz got during the good stretches of defensive effort didn't drop as often, momentum matters. This team isn't good enough to win games without playing defense, that's only the case for a select few teams anyway and even then, those teams engage defensively when needed.

Tobias and Hardaway need to go. I would love to see us grab John Collins. His contract isn't great but it is not a killer either. Dude can shoot and I think he would boost his stats playing PF in Detroit.

Yeah they complain about THJ and Tobias but then they want to commit big money for multiple years to guys that have never been consistent.
Flannel is the worst on the channel. Whoever hired this dude is a Grade A douchey Bag

The closest he ever came was being the third option for the Pistons. But whenever RJ was hurt Tobias couldn't step up.

An All Star big would make it easier to create plays. But finding one that can also defend is tough.
