- This was my first time at Mansell Raceway so it was a great chance to learn the track for the upcoming British Championship round. I was top 5 for almost all of the weekend so was really pleased with the pace. Here is the video from one of my best sessions.
About the driver:
I am a British kart racing driver from London, driving for the team Project One Racing. I compete in the Junior Rotax category as number 76 and 77 in club championships across the country and am working my way to the top of my field.

Thanks for reminding me of the name of Nigel`s Karting track..
My son and i did a Biland Round there way back,circa 2010 ..During practice / qualifying will were on top of things ..We had the choice of keeping the excellent nearly worn out tyres or getting a new batch marked by the scruits for the next days resulting races.
Obviously we chose the new ones ..Next morning ourselves and others were a second a lap down due to the new tyres..Waste of a weekends racing ..So many factions to cope with in competitive Kart racing..No wonder we (me )were parting with nearly a £1000 per meeting on a National basis.
As a bonus though Nigel Mansell was looking on during practice and qualifying day and remember standing next to him..
My son James did a spectacular move on another lad ..I nearly had a moment over that and i think Nigel was impressed..
I told James what was N.M `s reaction ,and he replied ,"who is he then"..!!
Great onboard I must say.
Rotax Junior ia fairly quick in comparison of Honda GX 390, right?
