Please do your doggy and you a huge favor put her life vest on a colorful one with a beacon locator she deserves ever opportunity for a long and happy life with you. Smoth sailing and following seas
1:21 Because I follow Dan as well I know what's going to happen, but this is cool to see from your perspective. Hope you to enjoy you 100+ day world travel.
You are a brave young woman. I wish I was half that brave as you are. I wish to go out on a longer trip with my boat, but I am too afraid to do it. My longest trip so far was 65 miles in open water in the Baltic. Please stay safe out there.
Thanks! You guys have a great channel. Been watching from the beginning. Looking foreward to seeing your adventures. Stay safe, and get some of your comms upgraded for your safety. Ps. you guys make a great couple.
Jump out of airplane huh. This is interesting. Huh. I am rock climbing so far up I can't see the people and the cars look like ants. So off shore the dolphins are like seriously dude? So deep in the anbar provence the alcada are dude what are you here you are nuts.
Being a bouncer in a bar at 135 wet. Live life it's fun. Ifi it kills you it does. Make the mistakes before you move make every mistake you can in your head. Then step off. Love the adventure
The worst sailor I have ever seen. Boat is not ready to be at sea: laundry on lifelines, gate not closed, things not died down on the gunwale. mainsheet loose as she is motoring in no wind. Doesn't know how to tie down the tiller to free herself up to work the lines. Only 2 wraps on the winch. And the other video from her BF, sails flapping in the wind. Pots in the cockpit. Tarp for a bimini ready to be ripped to shreds and getting in the way of everything, all on a cloudy day where she doesn't need a bimini. And it's clear they picked a bad weather window. Just look at those storm clouds ahead.
Fun video! Every anchoring gets easier now…wow, you are going to have a ton of fun back in the Bahamas! Mast winches also can work as an anchor windlass in conjunction with a long line and bit of patience….your pop is absolutely right! Thanks, Andrew
HDR camera looking very immersive on my HDR screen. Also, hearing your parents lifting you up with words and advice... my parents never did this for me, in fact, they were always filled with doubt 😓 You have great parents who believe in you.
Yes, I agree , smaller runs testing stuff would have been a great idea. White exhaust probably means bad impeller. Hot engine. And, of course, much more to happen soon. Hang in there.
@@FranklinGray Hmmmm , i think we are on cross purposes here Frank , i was talking about the clothes . I know she makes it , i've been following Dan , so i know the outcome , but i'm not here to criticise . It's too easy to say she should have done this , or done that , there will be plenty of armchair sailors doing that . I'm here to learn , i'm about to return to sailing myself . The major difference here though , is the layup , for me it's not months , it's years . If she's out of practice , i'm dam near prehistoric . Yes she did make mistakes , at least one i would never come close to making . But we all make mistakes , even ocean sailors , the trick is to limit the seriously dangerous ones .
@@mickey1299 We came back from 8 years of cruising when the virus hit, so it's been 4.5 years for us. I know I'll have to relearn some stuff. Heck, I had to relearn some stuff on the way back. One thing about cruising is each area is different calling for different skills and techniques. Example: keeping a dinghy off the dock was something I had to do everyday in the Bahamas so I learned the skill of using a dinghy anchor with heavy chain to keep it off the dock but yet easy to get back into. Well, after years of not having to do that, it took me 2 days remember that when in Isla Murjes, our last stop before returning to Texas. I was tying up sideways using fenders before I remembered taking up a lot of dock space. I think the big difference between some and others is do they have a good mentor before going cruising. I had one. It's clear she didn't. I guess most, like you and my wife, are always too afraid of being mean so they don't criticize. Maybe if people criticized her more often she would be a better sailor. The thing about cruising is, if you are a bad sailor, unlike other sports, it can cost you your life.
@mickey1299 " armchair sailors" yeah, even real sailors have a go where things go from being naive and rusty to simply disrespectful of the most basic sailing systems and protocols and jusy become plain dangerous especially on channels where novices are learning from such bad examples. Examples like, " I couldn't remember what anchorage we were going for." Nicole, Adventureman Dan post interview.
I’m not a sailor but I noticed there’s no navigation aids so how are you navigating? Also what about autopilot ? Are you gonna have to hand steer all that way ?.
Dude had a sore throat and used that as an excuse to leave you behind. Idk Dan is cool but also seems a bit of a douchebag. Him being more experienced I would have assumed he'd assist more in your preparation... Even the weather that day looked bad from the start. I wouldn't worry about his stupid 100 day challenge. Just get yourself and your boat sorted. Glad everyone is ok.
So.. heading out for the longest solo sail you've ever done as your 1st shake down sail after 18 months on hardstand fully rejigging everthing on a new unknown boat. What could possibly go wrong.
@anonymous.notatall6419 My thoughts are that It's true that they are both young adventurers and seam to be playing out their lives as we would expect. She has come a long way, with a giant willingness to overcome and meet the challenges that she has set for herself. I think He wants to respect that force and manage how much he intervenes, and at the same time, teach her what he can. He has grown on me. I really like how much he adores her, and their bond is tightening.
@JCGible hes ok but his self centered nature could be dangerous...I would never let someone i "love " sail without all the safety, navigation, life raft, vhf, working auto pilot ...could have killed her ..bit concerning 😟
Love your adventure, but as a father of three girls about your age, I am pretty much concerned about your personal safety. Are you prepared..? Please be, otherwise may God or the Force be with you.❤
Luperon was a great place for both of us. But I'm SO happy we finally made the jump back to the Bahamas 🇧🇸 🙌
Soo many adventures ahead of us here. ❤

Yep , i can certainly agree totally with that statement .
Nichole u have to be prepared properly with redundancies, and mate clean up the boat before u depart, really concerned for ur safety. Glad ur ok.🇦🇺👍
Don’t let Daniel boss ya around Nichole! He’s not all that.

Seals said that is not pessimistic that is just preparing
I love my seals. Fucking premadona girls. Try deploying with a Seabee forward deployed unit little girls might get the pink dress muddy
Happy watching you sail again-it nvr gets boring.
You need to get ur videos caught up with Dan. Glad ur safe
theres quite a glow going on on that smiley face , looks like freedom and adventure shinning thru , cool
That's a great idea... solo sailing with life jackets.

I’ve been waiting on this to drop!
Congrats. Enjoy the new adventure.
That morning shot when you were still on the mooring ball just makes me want to be there getting ready to sail. Good luck 😊
Fantastic. Let the next adventure begin! ⛵️🎉
You are brave, I commend you for that and for all the work you have done on this boat. I wish you the best, Cheers, Richard

How exciting!! Safe sailing to you and Daniel.
Hopefully , maybe we will cross paths at sea in a couple of years . Happy 2025 ! Continued success !
Happy new year Nichole
I love you and hope to see you soon with my own boat❤
Ah. First part of the big reveal we got from Daniel. 🤗
Good job!
I think you are a sweetheart, Good luck to you.
I’m always late to the party. Haha I have followed Dan for a few years now and cool to see your prospective of the trip. Now following.
damn good for you the excitement on your face was priceless
Nice finally get to see you sail again!

Hey nice video. Merry Christmas.
dear diary, today i left my clothes hanging on the rail before entering the squall.
Yeah i noticed that as well , be interesting to see if they survive . Another channel i watch does this all the time , and they get away with it .
@@mickey1299 She makes it....he has to go back and show her to the anchorage as she lost her navigation equipment. She is a terrible sailor.

I’m sure you will manage but that’s too much boat for single handing.
The boat is 28'. How much smaller do you want? No problems single handling such a small boat if one has a bit experience.
Pickled Herring is 28', Sam Holmes is and has been crossing oceans sailing wherever he can find wind and water.. He keeps it simple too!
You people are so cute
Hay! can I join you for sailing?
