    Thousands of years old an 95% were ripped down in just a couple of decades. Great job.

      Loggers are cancer. The timber cartels lie about where the wealth generated from American deforestation went and they lie about the impact logging still has on north American weather systems.

    I just finished reading "The Wild Trees" and could not help to look up
    Dr. Steve Sillett and his work. With all my respect and admiration . . .

    trees dont grow from the inside out. They grow from the out out.
    THIS NEEDS TO BE A MEME AND A REMIX

      I mean thats only common sense thats why trees get hollow with age

      They don't though. Some trees like yew get hollow with age and others are hollowed out by infestation. A healthy 2,000 year old Redwood, or Doug Fir, or Cedar all will have solid cores unless they're attacked by something like bugs or molds.

    Plant a sequoia seedling, then generate a time loop around it, calibrated for 500 yrs. Presto, big sequoia !

    I live in the redwoods and we have local legends that report that the
    biggest of the biggest redwood trees were dropped long ago. There
    is a local story of a logger who after working in the woods all day
    returned to town & popped into a saloon for a drink before heading
    home to supper who reported that on that day him & his crew
    dropped a big redwood & once on the ground it was measured to a bit
    over 400ft. And another where the logger reported his big tree
    measured 420ft. These are first person accounts so they are thought
    to be true around here.
    !

    Giant Redwoods are awesome.One question,do beavers gnaw on the giant Redwoods?Does anyone know?

    • @blakespower
      @blakespower 2 года назад

      hmmm beavers only take on smaller trees maybe trees of a diameter of two feet or less.

    • @TurboLoveTrain
      @TurboLoveTrain 16 дней назад

      Different habitats. Giant Redwoods aren't a riparian tree.
