I am loving your campaign. It's been tough getting my line going. You doing things daily shows that you must do your best. No matter what, we must practice and record. Thank you. Blessings.
I love this recipe so much! Thank you! My boy ate the sticks of butter too lol 😂 I changed out the avocado oil in this once for blueberry seed oil, and that was an awesome lip balm too. It made 12 of those 0.15 tubes you by on Amazon for this 2 oz recipe for me. Love love love it❤️
I have been making lip balm for 8 yrs now and I can't wait to try your recipe. I make smaller batches and use a large syringe to fill mine with ease. Thank you ❤️ My youngest (now 10 yrs old) always ate lip balm too, lol!
Have you guys ever tried one of those one-handed button, no-drip dispensers for things like this? WAYYYY back in the day when I used to go to church I used to help fill the communion cups and loved that fun little contraption, filling the tiny little cups and you could NOT spill any on the brightly-colored gold communion cup holder. This video totally brought me back to those moments as a kiddo. Anyway, just a thought and wondering if you ever tried it. ☺️
After your Tacoma location closed, I was worried y’all were gone forever! I’ve been rationing my last two lip lattes since then, to the point I’m still using one that’s mostly separated from melting and reforming too many times in the sun! I’ll have to try the recipe… after I order some more of the real thing from the website.
All of my children have eaten lip balm, and my boys (12 & 14) still laugh about hiding to eat while sticks of butter. I got one of these and it has blown my mind with how magnificent it is. I've been a lip balm addict, recovered now, but... I always know where this tube is.
I have a question. I’ve been having issues with graininess in my solid oil recipes across the board. I’ve been holding them at heat for 20-30 minutes. I’ve seen some information about how the products are cooled. One source said we need to cool the hard butter recipes down very quickly for them not to go grainy and I’m wondering if that’s true? I’ve also seen other sources say different butters need a slow cool down, so I’m way confused. Do you have any insight into that or what might help my grainy issues?
Hi, I'm so loving everything that you do, really nice color on the balm ,love it . I've recently started making lip balm and butters ...my hands aren't as steady. . I make a mess lol hence the reason I reason I use a giant needleless syringe
Hi! Can you please share how many tubes this yields? I would like to try this in a tiny batch form to test out if I can tolerate the ingredients and consistency 🙏 Thank you in advance!
Would you have percentages? I'm from germany we don't use ounces. Of I google how much an ounce is I have forgotten it as soon as I close the browser, same with feet 🤷
This may be a dumb question, but can we use honey as a sweetener? I know honey is water soluble not oil soluble…but if it’s stirred in vigorously or at light trace will it suspend or just separate out? 🥰
If you end up with holes in The top, heat The top and take a pipette and draw up some wax oil from Your batch( left over) and drop careful ly and smoothly and You Will have a Nice tip. Som leave them like oval or make a clean cut. Enjoy. Thanks for Nice reciepie! Maura
The drop down menu changes the pictures so you know what color you’re getting based on your taste selection. I’m pretty sure the PSL is the copper one. :)
Hey! Thanks for watching! So when I do sweetener, I use one of two things. I found some liquid stevia at Trader Joe’s that works really well to sweeten the flavored oils - just a few drops in a batch this size. Another option is glycerin - glycerin is a bit tougher to work with though; it is a humectant and can do great things to lips, but if used in too high of quantities, it will actually pull moisture FROM the lips which can lead to cracking and all the things you don’t want in a lip balm. Hope that helps!
you can buy lip balm and lip gloss sweeteners from most common suppliers you get supplies from like your ingredients and tubes etc...they come in various flavors/scents..you can also buy the base.
Are the measures you provide per vessel so if I need to make 10, I would multiple by 10? .5oz coconut oil .6oz candelilla wax, or beeswax .5oz cocoa butter .2oz avocado oil .2oz castor oil
Are those the measurements I provided? If so, that’s 2 ounces of product. If your lip balm tube will hold 2 ounces, then yes it is per vessel. Standard lip balm tubes tend to hold .2oz/4-5g of product, so this recipe would get you ten easily.
I love your shirt, can't tell you how many times I've thought it lol 😂 And my kids eat the chapstick, lip balm, sticks of butter etc. My 3 year old also has a thing about cat food, she ate my oldest daughter's garnet once (no typo there, she ate a genuine gemstone - that was fun to retrieve 🤢). I swear that one has pica 😐. If they don't eat the balm, they use it like they're doing the 100 layers challenge.
I wish I could share pics in comments. I’m currently standing in a 90% completed backyard bar. The door is on a thumbprint scan so the kids can’t get into my happy place. 😂
@@MrsSoapAndClay 🤣 I'm jealous, I don't get privacy anywhere lol well if you post it to IG I'll see it when you finish it 😁 then enjoy it through your photos lol
My sister chowed lip balm when we were kids. Absolutely grossed me out LOL Apparently eating stuff like lip balm, clay, coal - yes coal - dirt etc is linked to mineral deficiencies. It actually has a name for the specific condition. Hell if I can remember right now.....pica?? I dealt with that when I was anaemic, which caused me to crave chewing ise all day long. Thank god that's a thing in the past because it's not great for the teeth or dental work.

Just made these tonight. My first lip balm. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes. I love them!!

Hello wonderful, if i use beeswax should i use less. Thanks so much for sharing 😊

A syringe is such a good idea!!!
Hello I wonder what you think after trying the recipe. I'm curious to know because I'm just a lip balm beginner. Many thanks ❤️
Thank you for this amazing video and yet another fabulous recipe! One question though - how do I avoid the cocoa butter going grainy?
Very lovely where did you get your lip balm tubes?
If you don't have the cocoa butter wafers, can you just hold it at heat for a time to prevent thd graininess? What temp to heat it to?

What was the sweetener used in this and what was the honey kisses? A fragrance oil?
It is a flavor oil. The sweetener makes it tasty.
Would you mind sharing what type and how much sweeter you put into your fragrance oil?

The kids and the butter! 😂

I am using the yellow unrefined Shea and the unrefined organic cocoa as well.

Lol. You're so funny! And so right on! My girls eat butter straight from the stick, too!🤣 and my 3 yr old eats lip balm!
Love that color! How do you find that these do with shipping?
Thank You so much for your recipe ♥️👏🏼
I don’t have avocado oil
Is jojoba ok?
What can I use to substitute the cocoa butter for firmness? Should I add extra candelilla wax?
Hi! Can you please share how many tubes this yields? I would like to try this in a tiny batch form to test out if I can tolerate the ingredients and consistency 🙏 Thank you in advance!
To clarify: to me they look a little bit bigger than the standard size, thats why I’m asking 🙏
Thank you.

I actually tried that and just added a few drops but alas it made it separate and crumbled actually, a real bummer.
great video..looks like the perfect texture! what size are the jars..4oz?
These look AMAZING thank you for sharing!
What is a good replacement for castor oil?
Love this video! Our youngest ate lip balms too, and all 3 of our kids ate butter lol. They're all grown adults now :)
So it must be a growing thing. Need that fat! 😂
Would the recipe need any adjusting if it's going into tins rather than tubes? More oils to make it softer, etc?
Hey! Not necessary, but if you’d like to, you certainly can! This works well in tubes or tins.
@@MrsSoapAndClay Perfect, thanks for answering ;)
Hpw did u melt it? Microwave or stovetop?
Can you substitute shea butter for cocoa butter? Would that make a difference to the formula in any way?
It would yield a less firm product, but it’s completely possible to sub out butters.
Love the color. So elegant
I did that when I was a kid. Those avon lip balms were so delicious. 😂

Been looking for a video tutorial for lip balms and thankfully I found you! I do have a question though, is soy wax ok to use instead of beeswax?
So lip safe soy wax, beeswax, and candelilla wax can all be used interchangeably in this one. :)
Got it. Thank you so much for a quick response! ❤️
When ordering from the link in the description box how do you know which flavor to order if you want the copper color and not the pink one?
The drop down menu changes the pictures so you know what color you’re getting based on your taste selection. I’m pretty sure the PSL is the copper one. :)
What amount of cocoa butter goes in?
Authentically-I AM good catch! I updated the recipe above. Thanks!
If I may ask. What sweetener do you recommend?

You are hysterical lol subbed
What can I sub for the avocado oil.
Argan, almond, or jojoba would do well in avocado’s place for this one!
@@MrsSoapAndClay perfect! Thanks 😊
Thank you so much for this video. Also what did you use to give it some color and is the vegan too. 😊
Thanks for watching! This one was tinted with lip safe mica, which is vegan and cruelty free. :)

I have that book😂 and the other one too
Lol, my big girl eats the butter and I have cought her drinking cream from the box 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Can somebody explain to me why so many creators use coconut oil in the lip balms?? I’ve got 2 people in my life that are allergic
Hey! Because some people aren’t! There are loads of substitutes for coconut oil, though - check the oil properties and sub out as needed!
Yes my kid eats lip balm 🤣🤣
Mine still do! 😂
All kids eat lip balm...I am a retired teacher and I can honestly say, they do.
S&C kidlet #1 just grabbed a lip balm at the shop a few days ago, and I found the empty in the hall an hour later. So she’s still eating lip balm. 😂
