- Here are some tips I've discovered in seeking God's face. It's really not hard at all!

What ways do you seek God? Comment below!
Bible study!!. Sometimes I try to specifically read passages that talk about what I'm needing in the moment

Some things I do that I feel brings me closer to God:
Read my bible
Say psalm 23 daily
Simply doing an act of kindness (Our God is a loving God, be loving like him and it will draw you closer to him)
Try to resist sin (Its hard as humans but we can do our best,our God is a pure God,try to be pure it will draw you closer to him)
Try Spiritual warfare prayers (Resist the devil and he will flee, sometimes the devil and certain spirits can be blocking your relationship with God)
Pour out your heart to him, if you need to cry do so, God created us emotional, he wont judge us for crying to him if its for the "right reason"
Listen to people praying in the spirit and hope and pray for the gift one day, it really helped me

Hey Lia God bless your beautiful soul dear , just want it to say WE CAN NOT RESIST SIN ON OUR OWN we give our battles to God give Him all our worries and sins and faillures and laying them on His feets . YOU WILL GET SOOO TIRED TRYING TO BATTLE SIN ON YOUR OWN (i'm talking from personal experience )

As we read the Bible God reveals himself to us, parts of his character and attributes.
Hear for yourself, and not only other people's revelations.
Reading his word comes before listening to others words.

I usually think of "seeking God's face" as when I am seeking God for direction on a specific thing, and I'll think of what you talked about in this video as fellowship with God, but I'm learning it's all seeking His face because when we fellowship with God, we get to know more of who He is. And when He gives us specific direction, it'll never contradict His character.
Yup! The more you fellowship with Him, the more you know Him. Whether it be through asking for direction on something or simply just adoring Him. It all points back to discovering Him 😊

Amen, Kaylene. So go to Him right now and ask Him that, it's His will for you. One of Jesus' primary functions is to heal. "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;" (Isaiah 61:1). I also declare healing over you in Jesus name.

Probably more accurate to say, read the books of the Bible. The Bible was never meant to be put together from my studies from God. They were all written separately if I’m not mistaken, and someone thousand years later, put the Bible together and all the books together and made the Bible took out what they wanted and put in what they wanted.

well did you know for gentile/Christians there’s only a couple books that are actually meant for us. There’s a lot of stuff in the Bible that speaking to the Jews and other people throughout the Bible that they’re supposed to do and they’re supposed to listen to and we go through life thinking we’re supposed to be bound by those rules, but we’re not.

Like what if we are seeking God for the wrong motives and we don’t know we are
Jamaiya Lewis Hi Jamaiya! That’s a great question. I would suggest maybe asking God to search your heart and being open to what He will say in return? The bible says our hearts are desperately wicked, and only God knows the true intent of our hearts. “People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives.” (Proverbs 16:2 NLT) Then, ask yourself what are some of the things you’re seeking God about? Is it selfish reasons? Are you seeking Him for something and when you get it, will you stop seeking Him? Do you have something you’re idolizing more than Him? Those are some questions I’d ask to get to the root. Hope this helps!

Rachie Sherlock That’s so nice :) Thank you. I use the NKJV. I recommend that or NLT to study because it’s easy to read. AMP version is also good. Helps with breaking down words.

That is such a beautiful desire! One day we will meet Him if we're born again. But for now, you have access to Him through Jesus Christ. You can go to God directly in prayer and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. He's so real!! His Holy Spirit will reveal things to you directly from God. You can have encounters, dreams, visions, etc.! I'm praying for you.
I need to start reading from genesis to revelation right but something there is a heavy chain pulling me to the sins i repent and 6 months i dont sin then i start sinning again im just sad

Hi Tatenda! Welcome to the family of God. Understanding the bible can be hard for new Christians and even Christians who have been saved for a while so I understand. Some things I would recommend is: sermoncentral.com - I just discovered this website but it helps you understand certain biblical topics. It’s like a search engine so you can type in what you want and research it. Also, if you google “bible study commentaries” you should be able to find some answers on certain passages. Lastly, I really like reading other versions of the Bible on the YouVersion app if I’m having a hard time understanding a particular verse in a certain version. I do this and also read the passage in context to see what the writer meant when it was originally written. I hope this helps!

Yet all those who call of themselves Christian seek out knowledge, only to proclaim their own glory before men. Indeed, they proclaim falsely that they know the Way, though they remain lost in their own deceptions. For as it is written: My people are foolish and have no understanding; they are skilled at doing evil, but of doing good they have no knowledge;[1] they refuse to obey the voice of The Living God, nor will they receive correction. Behold, truth has perished among them; it has altogether been cut off from their mouths![2]
Yet My servants are wise. They fear The Lord, and wait upon Me with all patience and faith, doubting nothing, humble servants who study My Word,[3] knowing I am The Author and The Finisher thereof. When they wake and when they lie down, I am there; I am their life, and they are My joy, says The Lord.
Therefore when My servants come to an impasse in My Word, according to their own understanding, what is their reaction? They continue on, without hindrance or doubt. For their relationship with The Author is intimate, their trust without reservation. Thus they remain at peace, and wait upon The Lord for the light of understanding, knowing in their heart every word is true, ready to receive the spirit of the Word, stumbling not over its letter. And until My people are established firmly upon this premise, they will remain daunted, striving to see but never fully understanding, straining to hear but remaining dull of hearing.

Jamaiya Lewis A sign that you are seeking God with all of your heart is that you are totally committed to Him. Everything about you is fixed on Him and what His will is. Nothing is competing with His place in your heart. No other idols are taking His place in your heart. You don’t hold any parts of yourself back, you entrust your entire self to Him.
