I got the Woodfire XL grill recently. I'm glad to see it's capable of making decent pizzas as well, as a grill is more practical for my needs than an outdoor oven would be. Thanks for the informative video! 👍
It's even easier. Just go on grill on high. If you close the lid, the fan activates also on the grill mode which gives you enough heat from above. Preheat and go for roughly 5 minutes. I do not know if there is a difference with the US models because of the differing voltage, but with the european models this works a charme.
I was watching some of your other videos and was thinking I wonder if you could cook a pizza on that and you got there first 😂 love the videos you are helping a lot am getting the bigger ninja family is going to OD on barbecue 😂
Ya figure it you follow the directions on a Pillsbury fresh pizza dough from the dairy case, generally the time & temperature is 425°F for 10-12 minutes. Which is pretty much the ball park range for any fresh dough pizza. If you want it crispier, you can par bake a crust...remove & top it...before finishing it to melt the cheese on top where individual shreds or strands have all melted away into each other leaving no single strand with a visible border.
I just bought one of these. Mostly use my ooni karu 16 for pizzas. We have a shoddy stove in our rental, so have been using this for the occasional frozen pizza. They come out crispier which is a bonus over the oven. I wish they made an xxl size…
My actual oven is now storage for accessories and other stuff for my outdoor grills like the ninja. I see where you could totally live without an oven with these! How much bigger do you need? What doesn’t fit??? 😂
My local store has some 16” pizzas that I would like to cook on this. I can easily grill for my family of 4 but when the in-laws come over, 10+, I need the space or a full grill. I love this thing and am debating about a 2nd one for those large gatherings.
Do you think the Ninja Woodfire would make a good first smoker? I'm interested in trying out smoking and from your videos it seems like a great all around unit. P.S. awesome shirt
Yes I think the ninja is an excellent first smoker for someone. It’s easy to use and takes a lot of the hassle out of the process. Be sure to check k out rsvlts.com for shirts! They are the best!
@@DadGotThis awesome! Going to watch some more videos and then make a decision, yours have been great so far! I'll be sure to check out those shirts too, cheers!
My issue with that is that I would be scared that it would scratch the finish on the grate you put it on top of. Honestly they results I got were good enough for me to not have to do that,
Step by step directions in the description. 1. Load the Ninja with your favorite pellets. 2. Set the Ninja to Aircrisp 450F or 232C and make sure you turn on the woodfire button. 3. Let the Ninja heat-soak for at least 30 minutes. 4. Right before you make your pizza set the Ninja to the Grill High setting. 3. Make your pizza. 4. Switch the Ninja back to the air crisp setting, and make sure the woodfire button is on. You can skip the preheat settings by holding the start button down for 3 seconds. 5. Put your pizza on the flat top and cook for 3-8 minutes. Check it at 2.5 minutes and 5 minutes. You are looking for melted bubbly cheese and no burning on the crust.
Wrong about RUclips not noticing what we watch. Watch a knitting video just once, and your feed goes thick with knitting videos. They track what we watch and listen to what we talk about.

Hadouken!!! 🔥
Alright, im sold! Thanks for your vids, lots of good info!!!
Glad to hear it!
Works fine on preheat Grill High on the original ribbed grill plate.
Will have to give it a try.
Thanks for this video. Now I know you can make pizza in it.
Yes you can, and it comes out pretty dang good!

Sounds like I need to give it a try.
@@DadGotThisdid you give it a try ??
@mikelynch1998 not yet. Been crazy busy with stuff. I will though.

I was shocked how well it made pizza!

Preheat Grill High, leave on Grill High. Temp is 660 f on mine. Want more brown crust, Grill High on food grade parchment paper.
I’ll have to test it out.
I just got the pecan shell pellets. Can’t wait to try them out. Now I’m craving homemade pizza for today
Me too!

@@BrettsGarage makes sense!
I want to see you make a "loaded" pizza. onions, green pepper, mushroons, bacon, and pepperoni, maybe throw some olives on it too! 😁
Sounds great!
Thanks a lot for the great video.
You are welcome! I was excited that it worked so well.
Great video
Thank you so much for sharing

is it better to buy a stone plate to put in the woodfire xl

Looks yummy!
It was!
Throw the mozzarella in the freezer for about 30min. It will harden the cheese well enough to easily grate.
Would you believe mine were in the freezer before grating? It is just that hot out and filming takes time lol! Great tip though.
El Presidente got this
Could of used cooking spray to get the bottom crisper
Never tried that, will have to give it a shot.
The pro connect app will not work with an android phone. Is the a work around?
I see they have an android app. I did find this info: Ninja App Specialist at 1-855-427-5125, Mon.-Fri. 9 a.m.-9 p.m. ET | Sat. 9 a.m.-6 p.m. ET.
Ignorance is bliss, I guess. I just threw it on the grill, gave it some smoke and cooked it until it was done. Don't over think it.
I ALWAYS over think it. I like to tinker and go for perfection.
Hey dad, you reference "air crisp" - to my knowledge the woodfire XL pro connect doesnt have air crisp only air fry - is that right?
I have the XL pro and it has air crisp.
@@AmericanSCPO thanks - it has both air fry and air crisp?
@@jamesraisonx no just air crisp, not both air crisp and air fry.
Air crisp is air fry. Not sure but they just call it that.
Preheat on Grill low 4min or medium for 3 min

Yes but interacting with a video is of top importance to the all mighty “algorithm “. Lol
