Pants pocket in American English is retaining plural form . In British refers to trouser pocket used as adjective. Thank you for your educational channel.

To avoid confusions, we can use prepositional phrases. The pockets of my pants, the colour of shorts. The case of spectacles. Of would definitely work here to demonstrate possession.

I normally say what sounds OK to the ear . If I can't say my pant pocket like my trouser pocket then I won't talk of pockets at all. It's easier !

Relating to rent-a-car companies, I've seen outside their offices the sign "Drop-offs". But, should it not be "drops-off"? Or am I totally wrong? I thought the "s" belonged to the noun, instead of to the prep. Thanks in advance, super Alex.

A fantastic example .... it is definitely drop offs not drops off.
The noun form of this is usually written a drop-off and therefore several drop-offs.
A bribe is often referred to as a kick-back and therefore kick-backs not kicks back.
I am sure however you are going to blow me out of the water with another example that does not obey this rule.
Very good example of the problem that the video is about.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought of (1) How girls sometimes have their mobile tucked into their Jean(s) pocket on their posterior (an invitation for pickpockets) and not very aesthetic cos it makes one side of the posterior look chubbier than the other and (2) a photo in a Grand Odalisque Pose where the woman poses bare backed to emphasise the long exaggerated (Ingresque) curvature of the spine with the mobile tucked in her rear/rump Jean pocket . The Jeans should be low - waisted in this case and slightly unbuttoned to emphasise and draw attention to the contour and fullness of the hip and the model can have one foot bare -stuff like that 👠💮💠👠🔳💮■☆☆🦋
