Ya the problem is more around the description of the CFR. Or at least when i read/interprate the CFR. Example I see 46 CFR 26.03.1 - Location of Emergency Check-off List. When I read about this CFR the minimum information is about water tight hatches, bilges kept dry, passengers seated evenly ect. Cant find the sign they had required I have...

Correct, we would rather have a courtesy inspection with no consequences than get stopped with clients on the boat and find out we were not in compliance.
