  • I did a live photo walk in partnership with Roberts Camera to try out the Fujifilm's medium format series, the GFX line.
Here's the gear I use in this video...
    - Fujifilm GFX100S
    - Fujifilm GF 110mm f/2 (87mm equivalent on a 35mm system)
I do live photo walks regularly where I share my process for finding great photos of the everyday. So for this video, I do my typical photo walk, but incorporate my thoughts on the Fujifilm GFX100S as well.

You think Sony a7R V is better? For street style and Fashion photography?

Does a camera like that film as well?

It does! I did a quick test and it looked awesome but it was set to record in log and I don’t have color grading software so I couldn’t get the full effect of it.

Log? I’ve never heard of that format.
I’ve got a lot to learn.

@@tommytron2000I only know what it is. I don’t know how to use it! From Wikipedia: “A log profile, or logarithmic profile, is a shooting profile, or gamma curve, found on some digital video cameras that gives a wide dynamic and tonal range, allowing more latitude to apply colour and style choices. The resulting image appears washed out, requiring color grading in post-production, but retains shadow and highlight detail that would otherwise be lost if a regular linear profile had been used that clipped shadow and highlight detail. The feature is mostly used in filmmaking and videography.”

@@tommytron2000 I don't know either but watch any youtube hybrid camera review and it's log here log there log log log :D I think it's a output color profile with neutral colors and exposure and low contrast, where there is a lot of room for postprocessing, pulling colors, adding contrast etc . Maybe the thing is that it is not a RAW file, so it contains compressed information to enable quick storing and needing less room, but still have some editing wiggle room with this compressed video file. Or maybe it is a RAW file, and it's just the preset.

I have now watched parts of 2 of your videos (I've not watched this one, but I'm commenting here as it seems to be the latest on). I want to like this channel. I enjoy photography videos. I think you are a skilled photographer. However, your callous use of the "F" word is a total turn off, and while you may well be a polished photographer, you need some training as a commentator. The unabashed use of that word (arguably the most vile word in the English language) shows your disdain for anyone other than yourself as well as your obvious ignorance of what the word might actually mean. Thank you for your time.
