I've heard they're not the most desirable platform for most drivers. Before I read the description, I thought maybe his wife was eyeballing you in the pits earlier😂 I don't think he's that much faster down the straight, when you have full exit speed
He is quite a bit faster on the straights... often he starts off 15-20mph down and ends up 10-15mph up. I really enjoy driving Vipers on track; they're like big Miatas once you're totally confident in the car, which takes some doing for most people... but yeah, a lot of drivers really struggle in Vipers.
How effective would his "driving with the rear view mirror" technique be if he was actually in a race wit cars in front of him that he had to consider? I'd guess not so much...but I've never raced, so what do I know.

That was appalling driving by the Viper. The stewards should have had him black flagged for weaving/blocking.
There was apparently some discussion about that on both days... not sure what's going to happen.

It relies on me being in a 1600 pound car. In a similar Viper I'd have been able to hold position at the start and never would have seen him again.
Ego too big on the viper driver to be anywhere near a track with other cars. You did well to back off and stay out of his way.
Disappointed that you couldn’t find a way around the viper, at least you kept the the car in one piece….
