Hey Heiko, when you spool that reel you want to put the braid on with a lot of pressure. If the braid goes on too loose then when you’re putting pressure on it the braid can bite into itself on the spool and break off. Next time you spool up maybe look for a reputable tackle shop to do it for you to make sure it’s tight. Thought lines
Next time it’s too windy to hold bottom for deep dropping, try tossing a bucket or a pair of buckets overboard on a dock line. It’s a redneck sea anchor. Controls the drift. Great fish, I like the new electric reel. Good to see you and Dan fishing together again.

I bought the reel and took it out yesterday for fishing. Fishing was done out from Boynton Beach inlet. Perfect weather. Made 3 drops at 498 feet with 2 pound lead weight. On each drop caught beautiful Gray- Blue Line Tile fish. In Less than 20 minutes I limited the catch. Thank you for your video and the discout. By the way battery was still 90 Percent full. If you wish to have picture with the reel and fish let me know.

Who was yelling about filters from day 1? THIS GUY! lol. Don't mean to be loud about it, but several vids I was trying to get your attention :) Glad you got it fixed
The reel has an auto stop feature when it get's to 0. Prevents it from taking your terminal tackle into the eye on your rod. Normally you get setup with your rig and let out maybe 10' and reset to zero. That way the reel will stop when you have 10' o line left and you manually reel that last 10' up. If the reel pulls your terminal tackle all the way to your rod tip most likely the line will break. Great video. Keep em coming.
To use that wet stone get it wet and use little circular motions at the correct angle Work up and down the blade doing both sides about the same amount of time. There are some great videos about how to do it correctly. Love your videos. You and Dan are great together
I'm a Picifun fan boy. Have a bunch of their spinning and baitcast reels. I could watch that e-reel action all day though. I think it's like panning for gold, for me. Cheers!
Glad you changed the filter just hope you're in time to prevent injector malfunction later. Would be wise to put an extra inline filter bad has seems to be prevalent in your area.
I would love to see you recap the pacifun reels and talk about what type of rod and line you would pair them with for small (mangrove snapper), medium (patch reef grouper) and large (swords) fish.

Thank you I just purchased one I already have the Tanacom 750 this is a little smaller. When you are engaging the power lever be careful if you horse the fish too much it will rip the hook out. Just take it easy cheers
I never been fishing on salt water but I really want one of those electric reels! 😅 Next time you cook fish in the oven pull’em out a bit early and then brown them under the broiler.

Check for air leaks in your fuel line and fuel filter housing. Sounds like it runs out of fuel which causes it to lean out. That can also cause and erratic or high idle.

Pretty sure the rod is Goofish…not sure with the reel. You can pair it with a Piscifun Valtix reel (functions like a Daiwa Saltig) then you got an under $300 decent Slow Pitch Jigging set up.
I’m curious to see if there would be any issue using the electric reel trolling for tuna, wahoo, or dolphin? Sure would be nice to have to only buy one 1200 ft capable reel and have the bonus of an electric reel!

My cellphone battery ignited a couple weeks ago when I was sleeping. Heard stories but never worried about it. I learned the hard way after I picked it up to throw it outside the door that metal melts fast and sticks to skin. Don’t play with batteries Heiko!

Yea I noticed that setting the hook too hard would rip the fish off. Things got too much power! Gotta slowly push up on the lever

Used that type battery on the tanacom 1000. Very bulky. Not east to use if you like to hold the rod. Better to have a cable attached to it.
