Hi Libby, i too just watched the DNC convention and saw @President Joe Biden give his speech..he was wonderful! I was a mess!! Crying almost the whole time! I'm just so so proud of him! I worked for the federal government for 41 years. It’s always a stressful time when they are doing the budget as shutdowns are a very real possibility. It always took a week to shutdown everything and we had to have a skeleton crew as we managed a dam. So we still had to keep track of everything for no pay (we were paid once a budget was passed-but what a pain!)
I'm retired military and I remember wondering when we were going to get paid when the government shut down. The gop don't care they we had to worry about how to pay our bills and pay for food to feed our families. Just to score some points on the lib

Then at 12:39, I thought I heard trump and something right after. When you were talking about staring at the bald headed eagle. Then 13:38. There were a couple more afterwards, couldn’t tell what was said.
At 7:40, I heard "oh, hush" as in quit talking about the dogs! 12:39 ?, 13:38 ?, 14:27 "great", 15:23 when you were talking about Johnson stepping aside I heard "yep" and another "yep" at 15:32.

When that budget time rolls around I am often so irritated with the darn House and have been in tears of frustration- the posturing and lack of concern for we the citizens! But this time, im good. If you can calmly go over all the angles and talk us through it in 20 calm minutes? Im good! So glad i have found your help.

Are the democrats going to have the majority of the seats in the senate and the House after the election so that Harris can get new bills and laws passed so she can sign them into effect immediately? I’m worried that if the democrats don’t have the majority of the Senate and congress seats then President Harris will have the same problem as president Biden has now. I really hope that the crazy mega congressman in congress right now all get voted out of office and replaced with democrats. I can’t stand Marjorie Taylor Green! She’s just bonkers in her head.

I agree. 6 yr essential worker here. I survived the 5 week Trump Build the Wall shutdown of 2018.
