When I was a little girl, and I saw this movie for the first time, this song had come on and something... happened within my soul. I was so little and the happening was so insignificant that I was so unaware with how music meshed with my soul and my heart. When I had first heard this song and saw her in the pretty dress and observed the imagery with its music, something stirred within me that I had never been able to pinpoint. I now sit here, finding this cover out of absolute nowhere and I close my eyes. I am told by my mind to meditate, and as I do, I am connected with my soul in the same way that I had done the very first time I had heard this song. You have transported me back in time. I see my 9-year-old self entranced with the music and dancing and I see her spinning with the melody and dreaming her nights away with the imagination this movie had transpired within her. You did something very special with this song. It was something that my soul was screaming for. I had no idea that it needed it until I heard this- this cover. This amazing cover. This will always have a very special place in my heart. Thank you, so very much for this. You have no idea how much finding this means to me.

i just sat through about 5 HORRID covers of this song that would surely make David Bowie turn over in his grave. When I clicked on this one I expected no different....but boy was I GOBSMACKED by this performance. I even had tears. Perfect!

What is the bassist doing? This track has a very prominent and special bassline, and he's not even attempting to play it like the original. He's entitled to his own interpretation, but what he's playing doesn't even really contribute to the song at all. Respecting the original would have been a better choice. My 2 pennies.
He's doing what a good musician does. He's following the lead of the main player. It was obviously her choice to do it that way . And she wanted a different interpretation. I thought it was a well-played cover.
