Good eye! Audi & BMW is always at war xD

Hahahah😂
Lol I love the pettiness between rival brands
Lmao it’s so petty, I love it and I’m an M owner.
The driver is an absolute maniac!! What a lap
These guys have some huge balls to drive like that
Winner 24h Nürburgring in 2024, so yes he is a good driver.
After all 7 and a half hours of racing the 24 hours lol.
@@1someone644is he the Stig?
@@almac9203 Frank Stippler. Sadly he will lose his Audi works driver contract by the end of this year - that's at least the prediction of some experts.
The 5 cylinder is such a great engine
I believe this will be a future classic. They won't make another generation after this one. Soon it will be EV only.
@@almac9203I dont think so, after the maniacs have been voted from power we will see a new trend with powerful combustion engines once again.
@@almac9203 Audi rs are never classics, they depreciate like crazy
Look at the market for previous 8Y
Less than 50% value after 8 years
@@ArtVandelayOfficial less than 50 percent retained value after 8 years is really good. That is way better than most cars of similar vintage. The Audi RS3 was the 3rd slowest depreciating car of 2023 after the Porsche 911 and Lamborghini Urus so I question your assertion that they depreciate like crazy. In a world of EVs a charismatic engine like the 5 cylinder will be sought after. An Audi RS3 doesn't compare to special cars like a Porsche GT however it is more special than most EVs and 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder engine cars on the market.
@@almac9203 I mean if you're happy to take that kind of loss please buy one,and you'll probably be buying on finance I assume? So add interest on top
An older 911 is a much sounder buy as they barely move in market value

Looks like they brought back the old Speedo graphics, much better! Also 7 seconds faster than the 2022 lap record with the same power, that’s really impressive. EDIT: Some extra information from Pirelli posted below.

All thanks to optimized cornering behavior, especially through the torque vectoring.

Aside from the audio being out of sync starting at 2:40 and in a few other areas, this was a phenomenal lap, very enjoyable to watch.
Kudos to Frank Stippler for the driving 👍. The car is really pushed to the limit, it understeers a lot, many corrections at the entry to try to find the grip, also bouncy under hard braking, with a 'hoho' moment at 6:06. Yet again lot of respect to Frank Stippler 👍 for the skills and the confidence.

Was ein Tier! Glückwunsch zum Rundenrekord Audi Sport.
This was an excellent run to say the least. The fact that he pushed the car to 183.5mph on the final stretch 😮😮😮, before the last turn was awe 🫢 inspiring. Cheers to AUDI!🎉🎉🎉
The way that little red g-force dot dances around the edge of traction is a masterclass
That dude can wheel a car, it had more front end than I expected it to and it reflected in the way he pushed, got pretty intense at times in the high speed stuff. Enjoyed watching that 👍🏼
The cornering speeds are insane! Was ein Fahrer😶🌫

Good job @audi !! It’s always good to see something different 👍
I am an excellent driver, but I have to admit. This guy is a MANIAC!!
Nice JOB!!
This is unbelievable. 5 seconds faster than car with 50hp+ more. Audi is the unbelievably underrated. Also Rs3 is the best Audi model right now. Pure perfection. Bmw is nowhere, not even talking about Mercedes.
But do you think this car is bone stock like ready for the market? I heard they put on a roll cage, special tires, special lightweight seats etc... BMW did their lap with a complete stock car with no fancy stuff. Dont get me wrong, the lap is insane, but the speed around corners and the acceleration would be incredible if you can buy this exactly like in the lap. I honestly dont think so.
@@dennisdodic6255 If we talk about stock power and torque, yes it is stock, but as you said, it has racing Recaro seats, semi slicks - Pirelli Trofeo R, and cage. If it was full like full stock, I think it still would've been 1:35 or so. Can't wait till this monster will be available.
@@dennisdodic6255 Anyone who has any experience tuning and tracking cars knows what it takes to get a car from this segment to perform like this. None of this has anything to do with the car that will be available for purchase.
@@mrbartek3122 Fully stock will be 20 seconds slower
It's only 4kmh faster at Schwedenkreuz than 2 years ago, so no more power... A rollcage is only to protect the Driver and adds weight it's nothing special on an record atempt. And for all bmw boys, the m2 gets constantly dynoed at nearly 500hp so, who is the liar?

I kinda don't care since Audi pulled out of the GT3 programme...that was where their cars were beloved and connected to the people. I kinda resent it since I supported them from day one...
Great driving ! Great team!!
Wow this is God level driving skill 👏🏻👏🏻 Fantastic and super fast lap. Well done beasts 💪🏻
Sensacional!
E a correção aos 6'07 é insana!!!
The main mechanism to adjust the power moment is very important for a very powerful machine properly balancing weights. Amortizer both springs. Alignments. Power steering. Aerodynamics. Control systems to maintain balance in time. But when driving with the old analogue manual sports car, it is adjusted very precisely. It's all possible.
1:23, that bird was so lucky...
That it got hit? Watch it frame by frame

200KM through the curves. This driver is a maniac😂 And I’m here for it
Legendary driving!
CONGRATULATIONS! BRAVO!
This new RS3 eats corners, very impressive considering it's battling under(Audi-)steer with that heavy engine up front
With Frank Stippler they had the right person at the fifth wheel
Congrats 🎉🎉🎉🎉
2:44 It appears this video has a fake audio. Was an audio added during the edit? Why faking it the sound then?
Amazing car, amazing lap.
Stippi König der Nordschleife ❤❤
yea. stock power for sure :) 297 kmh on the main straight. as fast as 550hp m3/m4 cs. or as fast as 625 m5 competition.
i know that "m" in bmw stands from "marketing" nowadays, but what does rs mean in audi? "really" stock? lol.
I mean the car much lighter, that is why was m3 quick like m5
Absolute cinema! Even with air conditioning on!
Machines both man and car epic!!!
1:23 wow that bird almost got plastered to the windshield

It's the new one!!!!
Great driver. Nice lap.
No way this is a production model, absolutly insane performance 273kmh between Kotenborn and Schwedenkreuz and making the corner at 220kmh in a 4 door in no joke
the production car wont do that time, ever! this has lightweight seats, roll cage, special geo, special tyres. etc etc..
Of course it's not a series production car - it ran in the prototypes/pre-production class.
@@yazctr Everything is stock except the seats and the roll cage for safety reasons (which in fact increases the weight a bit, that's why manufacturers are allowed to rip out the rear seats to fit the stock weight).
Tyres are stock too, you can order these road legal pirelli trofeo r slicks since the RS3 8Y came out in 2021 from factory.
@@Fastvoice it is a pre production car, but that only means the car is not for sale yet. The car will be sold exactly like this, but with normal seats and without the rollcage. Dont't know which tires are fitted and will be fitted for the production car, but everything else won't change. And btw, the light weight seats are canceled out by the roll cage, so the overall weight will be pretty much identical to this car.
@@pizaleone5705 If I wanted to promote a new model I wouldn't aim to be inferior in the prototype class prior to the release but would instead wait for the production car and set a real lap record in the compact car class.
Bela pilotagem!
Given that on the number plate (Seen on another Video), it is marked "6205", I would bet on 620Nm for 500hp. Audi often leaves clues during presentations, remember the one from 2021 with the firing order of the cylinders...

@@hardt_engineering2705 whether that is turned on or off, the 5 cylinder objectively does sound good. If you disagree that's OK, but you are wrong and everyone knows it. There are others that sound better no question. But nobody says the 5 cyl with that firing order sounds bad.
@@dubsessed9790I only drive 5 cylinders. I drove an 8V FL with non OPF for over 6 years. Now I buy the 8Y FL because of the torque splitter and the bucket seats and my daly car is an old Audi 100. @@hardt_engineering2705 I'm not sure that's an artificial sound, it sounds a lot like the sound is bouncing from the walls outside. Pretty sure it won't sound like this, it's way too loud for EU noise regs.

watching Misha drive a lot here and getting used to watching the speedo and than seeing this speedo is wild :O
As much as I love the RS3 5 cylinder, it would probably post a much better time if most of that engine was behind the front axle instead of infront of it. It's like porsche was super stubborn keeping the engine in the back of the 911s for decades until they finally figured out how to make it work. Audi is doing the same thing but with their engines infront of the axle. Hasn't quite worked yet, though. Not to a similar level, at least.
Hardcore 😳😳 I remember the time when a supercar like Porsche Carrera GT was celebrated for a 7:32… 😳
Yes, thats lap times form early 2000s supercars. Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari Enzo, Königsegg CCx, Pagani Zonda F, and so on. They were King if they reached times around 7:30! Now a hot hatchback can do it with the right driver inside. Shows how much 20 years of developement can do.

Impressive lap time it look like Audi put much power on this new version based on the top speed. But I see a lot of understeering still on corners. Great job for Audi
I think u mean understeer. The front tyres are squeeling non stop.
audi media center stated it's still 400 hp / 500 nm, so no changes on the power. A few changes on the suspension (KW suspension available from factory) and brake vectoring.
The top speed is the same since years. You could buy the rs3 in 2021 limited to 290 km/h with ceramic brakes from factory, the dashboard will show around 296/297 km/h if you reach the top speed (tested it myself with my 2022 rs3 on the german autobahn).

A Volvo S60 polestar with 362 HP went 7:51 around the Nürburgring in 2016. If Volvo put the 2012 S60 concept car in production, with 508 HP, then it would have been a monster around the track. Probably would have been going 7:20.
That laptime was done with the 500hp concept car.
@@pokest225That is what I thought at first but now after viewing the video again I am not that sure, because the concept is from 2012 and it uses the first year odometer gauge and the video shows it using the new style of odometer. Along with the front bumper and headlights. It doesn't make sense why Volvo would change all these components for a record/ test lap. And 7:51 for a 508 HP powered car is slow considering the Volvo concept has a lowered, widened, and reinforced chassis, a tuned Haldex all-wheel-drive system, and Öhlins suspension. Which is a pretty substantial bit of performance for track. This Audi weighs, about 1600kg, as much as the Volvo concept and has 100 HP less. I would expect the concept to be as fast or faster than the Audi.
Thank you for reading. It just gets my head thinking a little about the logistics.
