    I know this is an old video,but I’m fairly new to you so catching up! I just wanted to say (not that it even matter) that I love the natural lighting. It feels so warm and glowy. I’m sure you have a new camera and lights these days, but I kinda like the old school look 🙃

    Hello Amy, while I was watching your video I thought of a freezer meal that freezes well. If your family likes mashed potatoes, corn/mixed veggies and lamb/beef you can make Sheperds pie or also known as Cottage pie when you use beef. I have also prepared this with other ground meats. My children love it with katchup. I was going to send a recipe but there are so many recipes out there. When I prepare this meal I keep it simple.

    Thanks Amy , i’m greek i really want to know how to make the greek gyro not to judge you of course,,, i just love to have the recipe . I can share also the best original greek satziki sauce if you like , for the kids !!!!

    • @amymaryon
      @amymaryon  6 лет назад

      +Ria Chatzaki it's always interesting to see how other people make it. I think I posted a sausage red beans and rice recipe and someone said it was not near what it should be lol its funny how u may come across one recipe and it can be completely different than others. We love the gyro recipe. I am out of fresh pita and I used up all my tortillas so I need to pick up some before we make it. The kids like tortillas...:). I will soon keep watching. And what is that satziki sauce? I would love it

    • @riadrossos-usa4415
      @riadrossos-usa4415 6 лет назад +1

      Lol you funny this is happened to me also hahah ,The recipe for the satziki (i know you use Aldi’s yogurt the plain greek is the best for the satziki i use that too . So one whole greek can greek yogurt or your own if is thicker, 5 4-5 cloves of garlic really purée like ,One whole cucumber shredded and strained the water from ,half 1/3 of fresh parsley diced thinly 1-2 tablespoons of white vinegar salt 1 teaspoon or more to your taste half cup of extra virgin olive oil . you can put all these in the food processor for 2 sec and all is done . Enjoy !!!!!

    • @amymaryon
      @amymaryon  6 лет назад +2

      +Ria Chatzaki ok that is about the same way I did mine as well. What I did was use my homemade yogurt and then strained it in a flour sack towel and it was nice and thick. I'll share ours this week..my daughter is going to run to the store for me :). Thank you

      +avonleanne yes I do:). Always:). Sometimes I use the sams club card and then keep track of what I spent, then I make Sam's be my last stop and I will pay off the balance at the end of my trip. To get the cash rewards. But sometimes I forget, :)

    Hi I'm new subscriber I have been loving your recipies from.your website and videos. I am wondering if the "nacho cheese" you use in your recipes is from the jar or something you make yourself? I'm making the chicken broccoli rice casserole tonight and it's the 1 thing I dont have

    • @amymaryon
      @amymaryon  6 лет назад

      +ashley corliss it is from a big can of cheddar cheese sauce like u would put on nachos. U can use like velveeta or if you don't have either how about more cheese and a little chicken bouillon. Sounds weird but it's sort of the same flavors:).

    Do you ever loose power? I’d be concerned about loosing all that food/hard work if the power went out for any length of time. Unless you have a generator then you’d be all set! 😊

    • @amymaryon
      @amymaryon  6 лет назад +1

      +Jess Dostie we do:). Especially in the mountains. As long as you don't open it at all for three days it can refreeze up safely we have found. That is the longest we have ever lost power in the summer.

    What do you do with the ground ham? You did say that you grind it, right?

    • @amymaryon
      @amymaryon  6 лет назад +2

      +Mikesha Row yes in the food processor. I made some sandwich spread with it...miracle whip, relish and meat. Put on crackers or bread. I froze the rest for pizza toppings or another samdwich spread :)

    • @amymaryon
      @amymaryon  6 лет назад

      +avonleanne yes I know they have chicken breast. I get it at Sam's club for 1.99 a pound. We do have a church that let's you order but I haven't yet. Is that about the same for price? I had looked before and didn't see any other meats I would get, any recommendations?

      +Sunshine & Rain this is the place we ordered from. You have to have a minimum order but if you call , they might be able to see if there is someone in your area who also orders. www.clnf.org

      +Sunshine & Rain you need to go. I would go there every week if I could. They have the BEST deals. I have a friend that shops there and then resells the stuff online. It's like a surplus store for Groceries. So u can get really good stuff for super cheap. I walked into that store and I felt like it was Christmas lol. It's well worth going into. :).

    I have a suggestion for your family, if your children love sloppy joes and tots. You can make like a casserole with cooked ground meat and sloppy joe sauce at bottom and then tots and ontop of them put shredded cheese and bake. feed them babys! They will love it! My kids do!
