There’s that time 12 literally acknowledged a plot hole. “Of course the real question is: where did I get the cup of tea? Answer: I’m The Doctor, just accept it.”

If I had a time machine, I would have a computer connected to a television to record all of them for the whole time then make sure it got to me in November 2023 to send to the BBC
You know, that'd be a bootstrap paradox to fit the theme. Somebody with a time machine can't stand the fact that too big a chunk of his favourite television series is missing. So they go back in time when the BBC still had all of the tapes. And takes them. Thus removing the last copy of those episodes from the BBC archives, creating the problem in the first place. ... Whoever it is, you better give those tapes back NOW!
If you zip-off into space faster than the speed of light, you can catch up with the ORIGINAL 60s 405 line 📺 transmissions! ... Don't forget to record them and bring them back! 👍🤣
One really obvious 4th wall break not mentioned is the end of 25th anniversary special Silver Nemesis. Ace says, “Professor? Doctor? Who are you?” The Doctor looks directly to camera, puts finger on lips. Music.
@@emurphy42It's like how when the 2nd Doctor returned during a 6th Doctor story his introductory shot is in black and white, before transitioning to colour.

I am really convinced that Peter Capaldi should've had a Bill Nye-esq spin off where did little teaching bits. Hell, I would've really enjoyed if most of the episodes started off like Listen.
I'm going to be real, even if the episodes were hit or miss the twelfth doctor was my favourite. He could hold a scene together better than any other Doctor. I would give anything for him and ten to meet and really just chew the scenery. It'd blow the 50th out of the water.
There was also some weird fourth-wall breaking in The Caves Of Androzani. Thanks to one of the actors reading their directions wrong, they ended up delivering personal asides directly to the camera, as though addressing the viewer.
One that was missed is during the rebel flesh when the ganger doctor first shows up and matt smith is doing impersonations of past doctors. He mimics tennant saying "hello im the doctor" then he screams "no, we've moved on" which was moffat having a dig at fans who wouldnt accept someone who wasnt tennant as the doctor.
Probably one of the biggest fourth-wall-breaking moment, which sadly no longer exists outside of the audio recording g and takes naps, was when the first Doctor turns directly to the camera, raises his glass and wishes everyone e a happy Christmas at the end of ‘Feast Of Stephen’.
The traveler would have to make sure to have EVERY work of Beethoven's and not forget even one note. That one would be lost in a new timeline. And when that traveler comes around again, and happens to forget one work again, slowly, Beethoven is erased from existence.
Not sure but Attack of the Graske and Music of the Spheres involve the 10th Doctor talking directly to the audience, so perhaps that's too literal. Then of course I think he looks at the camera during The Family of Blood during the whole Fury of a Time Lord segment.
I know this is off topic, but I remember watching doctor who with My kids back in the 80s, Tom Baker was the doctor in the episode we were watching, and out of nowhere my daughter asked me how many teeth do most people have, so I said about 32 or so, then my son said well I guess Timelords can have as many teeth as they want he has at least 332 teeth. I laughed until my stomach hurt. We still watch Doctor who together, my daughter says she remembers the conversation but my son doesn't.
@@dalekprimeproductionsNo-2 My kids and I have in depth conversations about all kinds of things, like who the watcher really is, and where all of William Hartnell's and Patrick Troughton's missing episodes are?.

Well done, but you missed two clips. First: In "Day of the Doctor", when Tom Baker shakes Matt Smith hand, "congratulations" Second: The new ending of Shada, Tom Baker doing his laugh into the camera
Well everyone seems to have missed the 5th Doctor in the last scene, at the end of "The Five Doctors"..."why not, after all....that's how it all started!"
Some of these scenes had no breaking the 4th wall whatsoever....for example, the Monk and the Doctor talking about television as a medium....television existed within the parameters of their fictional world...just mentioning it doesn't break the 4th wall,in itself....!
I was thinking the same. There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding what constitutes "Breaking the Fourth Wall," not just here but in a lot of cases I've come across.
Mentioning television might not be breaking the fourth wall, but the Doctor actively encouraging people to watch television with a sly smile implies that he wants us to continue watching Doctor Who, which might not break the fourth wall, but I'd say it nudges it a little.
you missing one from the first doctor the ep 7 of arc dalek season 3 holyday special is say at the end: hope you enjoy all of you at home, oups i dint see am die 🤣
Some of the scenes aren't breaking the fourth wall: Martha's not looking at the camera, but the Doctor, I believe, in that scene; the 11th Doctor isn't talking to the camera in any of the scenes shown with him (he's looking at the boy in Night Terrors, he's looking at Clara in Time of the Doctor). The 4th Doctor isn't addressing the audience, but simply expressing his thoughts aloud to himself. You missed an obvious instance of the 12th Doctor acknowledging the camera: "I'm nothing without an audience" from Heaven Sent (he looks right at the camera, in a blink-or-you'll-miss-it moment).
you don’t have to only look directly at the camera to break the fourth wall - talking about something that relates to the show _as_ a show counts too. of course the doctor wouldn’t want a parent to discourage a kid to watch tv, _he’s_ on tv!
The telly is the window to imagination and some say a traveller in time breaks the rules to bring those imaginations to life so breaking the forth wall is nothing for the likes of the Doctor he makes it up as he goes to this his but one of many different versions that breaks the rule of the forth wall amongst a galaxy of time lords who will eventually tell it as it is? The Imagination of Science Fiction is William Shakespeare in space and time or a unfinished story there has to be a rule breaker to every tale in science fiction or story of imagination?
I guess the elephant in the room is that NOT breaking the fourth wall is essentially more contrary than breaking it!??? Why do "realistic dramas" allow the actors to look in every direction except one?
because the camera is meant to be positioned in the place they dont look. think of it like seeing the future and knowing how the event plays out in advance, and choosing to position the camera where you know the people will never look. of course the real life reason is because looking at the camera makes it seem like the actor is making eye contact with you, bringing the audience into the scene, which breaks the suspension of disbelief.
The editing in this was just abysmal you should be ashamed. You probably think it was stylistic to interject short clips into the longer one but it was just unbearable to watch

Some Doctors are really good at transmigration (teleporting objects). 3, 4, and 7 would use it to mess with people.
If someone has truly made a time machine, I hope they use it to give us access to most if not all of the 1st and 2nd Doctor's episodes

While Martha is smiling at the camera I think the camera was suppose to mimic being the Doctor's perspective.
Troughton talking to the kiddies to tell them the yeti were returning in the underground and that they should be afraid. Very afraid.
