Its the fact that he overcame something that was so daunting for him. You lived vicariously through him. I have a fear of coasters. I am going to Carowinds on Saturday and i'm going alone. I have to defeat my fear once and for all.
There’s no stopping that adrenaline, man. Once it kicks in, it washes the fear away. And like that. He’s all of a sudden having the ride of his life. I love it. Hopefully you turned him into a coaster junkie like the rest of us 😁
i agree with him i think the worst part of rollercoasters is that the climbing hill start part is really nerve racking but the rest is fun because you can see his emotions change Quick
like my dad says its the anticipation thats scary. A good tip for the lift hills. Just look straight. (I drove my friend crazy saying look straight to my self the whole hill)
Yea me and my cousin were getting strapped onto the Behemoth and when the ride was starting, me and my cousin were like hyperventilating and screaming "GET ME OFF!"
For me it was the other way around. I got on the roller coaster thinking I was gonna have fun, I was super excited and I was ready to go, but then when it was like in the middle of it I started to not like it and I started freaking out...lol
I know it's been 8 years and Sid is grown by now, but dude, it took me until well into high school before I could brave the Behemoth. And even then I was tricked into getting locked on the ride, but you toughed it yourself out and came through a trooper on the other side!! Huge props to this little man, hope he's doing well now.
I love how once his dad told him to have fun he filled up with joy and reralized that he should act normal because his dad is posting this and he doesnt want to get esposed XD

I’m over here crying at how scared he was and then when he realized it was fun his fear turned into fun. That’s how beautiful life is man. We work ourselves up so much and make things 10x scarier than it is. Life is beautiful stay safe everyone.
This is pure gold! I remember my first ride on a rollercoaster and I was scared but my stepdad was the kind of guy to say "don't scream". He meant business. Ahhh the late 80s lol. This coaster went upside down and twirled around twice but was short. It wasn't like these coasters today. I think it's great she immediately starts having fun when the ride goes down. That is how I was. After that first moment of fear it becomes enjoyable and then you want to go on it again and again. It's great for the parent to see how happy she gets. A joy to watch.
We have all been there man. Respect to you kid. You strapped up and did it and came out the other side a new man. You faced your fear head on and now have a moment youll always remember with your pops.. Dont be ashamed or let anyone call you out for crying.. Alot of ppl wont even go 5 feet near a ride. I hope you and your dad will be beat friend's for many years to come. We all aint so lucky to have good experiences like this with the ones you love! Great video man
Interesting kid, he goes from terrified to throwing his arms up in the air and riding the ride 80% of it that way. Good for him for working through the fear.
This is the power of having your father in your life and by your side. Just him hearing his father say “have fun” completely changed the way he felt about what was going on. That’s what a father is there for. To make you feel safe. Even when your life feels like a roller coaster.
I was hyperventilating before nitro. My boyfriend almost had a panic attack. It turned out to be my favorite ride although it was my first big coaster ever!!
Awesome. Just took my 6 year old who loves coasters on the stratos fear drop ride. She cried hysterically, from the top to the bottom. I had to pick her up to get her off because she was so upset. Within seconds, she said to me "let's do it again". Kids are still learning to process that being afraid in a controlled setting is fun. It is literally an emotional roller coaster for them.
I’m just here to tell you something, but roller coasters are safer than cars, trains, etc. because the harness has the same strength of an airplane flap so imagine that, also that means you have a more chance of 50 sharks eating you, get ran of by 30 cars.
@@noahlozanoracing Fear doesn't give a f about statistics, they don't matter. For example, I'm extremely affraid of bumblebees, and I don't even have allergies so technically they are harmless. Bringing up statistics does nothing.
@@Dead25m They do matter, though. It was statistics and knowledge of a roller coaster's inner workings, including restraints, that enabled me to take that risk. Bumblebees present potential physical harm to people even if you won't die from a sting. This is what happens 95% of the time with those scared of rides - once they are actually on them and realise they can just let go of the fear and have fun and that it's perfectly safe, they enjoy it! Unfortunately there is that 5% that are so stressed and tightly wound that they will never be able to relax and enjoy it. Thank you for sharing, this was a great video :)
as a rollercoaster enthusiast this made me smile i remember i was terrified the first time i got on a rollercoaster but ever since i got on my first roller coaster i instantly enjoyed traveling around the globe riding rollercoasters
Not me. I'd be on coasters all day. If you're afraid just think. Once you concur the first drop on the biggest coaster there then you won't be afraid of another coaster drop in the entire park for the rest of the day.
And plus once you're on it, there's no escape so you don't even have to be going up the lift hill just to think that. You will be fine. You're most likely to die on the way to the park than at the park.
Bruh I’m 10 yrs old and went on the leviathan! Great ride! I was freaking out while going up but it was the most secure, smooth and fun roller coaster I have been on! I am not the biggest fan of heights but as soon as your going down it’s fine! Really recommend it to anyone!
