  • Our time in Hangzhou was so amazing! We did it as a day trip from Shanghai but after visiting we would definitely recommend staying at least a few nights in Hangzhou to truly experience this incredible Chinese City. We were wowed from the moment we arrived in the Hangzhou tea plantations. We sample some of the fresh harvest Longjing Dragon Well Tea then hike from Meijiawu Village to Longjing Village. We then get a bus to Lingyin Temple and Feilai Peak Buddhist carvings. From here we get a short taxi to West Lake, one of the best things to do in Hangzhou. Before heading back to the train station we walk through Hangzhou city and down Hefang Street, an old traditional street in Hangzhou. We Loved our day but will definitely stay for longer next time ;)

    ABOUT US
Hi, we’re Chris and Mandy, travel bloggers and creators from Australia. Since December 2015, we have been travelling and exploring the world full-time. We usually spend 1-2 months in each place we travel to and love really getting to know a place. One of our favourite ways to get to know a destination is through food, and we share all of our food guides here on RUclips and on our travel blogs. We love to pack light, travelling the past 3 years with carry-on only. On AlmostLanding.com, we share in-depth guides to help you plan the best trip, we often have free printable guides you can download or print out, we’ve created our own travel maps pinpointing our favourite picks for different places so you can easily find everything and make travel planning easy. We have another travel blog all on Bali, AlmostLanding-Bali.com, we’ve spent so much time in Bali and share everything we know and love about this beautiful island. We’ve fallen in love with travel and blogging, and we wanted to create a space for other travel lovers and life dreamers. Thanks for being a part of Almost Landing, and make sure to say hi :)

Great advices! Found your videos when searching for Tongli. I will be doing eight days around Shanghai in November. Considering Tongli and Wuzhen as water towns. Tongli did not look to overcrowded to my surprise, did you film on a week day?

You were right. It is a ridiculous price for tea...probably 5x the price of anyone who speaks a word of Mandarin
