@@jellyphins I do remember. Only glucose is permitted in the bloodstream to be transported as a source of energy fuel in the cells. Fructose will find its way into the liver where it will either be converted into glucose before being sent into the bloodstream (if glucose is needed), or it is converted into fat. Fructose is metabolized in the liver in the same way as alcohol is. Sucrose, a compound made of fructose and glucose bundled together has to go through a process of debonding in the small intestine only because the two single sugars have different reception in the system. That should give you some idea of how bad fructose is for the body. Please don’t trust me and fact check. Begin by searching for “fructose metabolism”.
@@f.k.6151 the only thing which I think was wrong is when she said G6P in muscle and extrahepatic tissue does gluconeogenesis which is not the case since both sites lack Glucose 6 phosphatase ( at 2:19 )
