Well you would start by getting coffee grinds.(I recommend folgers or maxwell) and then you get coffee filters the size of your machine. Once you place the coffee filter in the coffee machine area, test out the amount of coffee you would need for a cup, as well as the amount of water.( there be an area where you poor the water into with number markings for measurements, to make the coffee. Once you finished adding the water and coffee grinds, plug it in, place the beaker in the machine and press start. After the coffee finishes brewing, poor it into a cup and maybe add sugar and your done!
Update - I don't use any sugar in my coffee anymore. I like it bitter.

When I mix something I periodically change directions so it's more turbulent
I usually drink tea with nothing added so it doesn't matter
