It's completely obsured that they think this is worth $175.
Zero Hour is my favorite Crisis (after all the other crises)
we need an Armageddon 2001 Omnibus as well - personally I enjoyed this crazy event
I agree. Also inferno added and the return of the JSA since they are all connected.
Pretty soon these horrible prices might become the norm. Collectors should straight up NOT become complacent. Be smarter with yo money boyz and gurls.
I know. I would love to get this but I just can't spend that kind of money for 1 book that I don't LOVE.
I'm waiting on a massive, massive discount on this one. Minimum 50% off. What they're charging for this new printing is ridiculous. Over $200 Canadain for a reprint of a not well received story? No thanks, DC. I can wait.
I prefer getting TPBs for shitty stories that are essential or still interesting.
E.g World War Hulk.
I wouldn't even buy it at 95% off, lmao.
I hear you, man. I managed to get a discount on it and that's the only reason I am getting it.
I believe IST had it at 50% off the first week it was out.
@@ge3045 really? Out? Waaaauuuuuu
A TPB of Zero Hour was one of the earliest DC stories I read! I checked it out from a library when I started getting more into comics in the mid 90’s. A person can say what they will about not starting by reading events, but my love of legacy characters and the golden age of comics grew from this event.
Zero Hour was the answer to reader questions raised by post-Crisis inconsistencies. Reader questions were then raised by Zero Hour making it all worse! It has now been made irrelevant by all the subsequent resets of the DC Universe.
No doubt there'll be another one soon.....
I'm a sucker for Green Lantern
would be nice to see Hal Jordan omnibus from the 90's run
or complete Kyle Rayner run
Blackest Night 15th anniversary - featuring all tie-ins
I understand that inflation is a factor, but many of these omnibuses are getting exhorbitantly expensive. DCs omnibuses are often more expensive for a book of similar size and similar, relatively recent/modern content. 175$ for an omnibus reprint of material from the mid-nineties? Seems overpriced to me. I bought the previous printing at 150$ US, which I thought it was expensive then. Had I not bought it, I probably would have balked at the 175$ suggested sticker price, even though I get a significant discount.
Agreed! The TPB is all you need.
I've heard mixed things about this story but that spine is pretty so I'll give it a shot 😊
Despite the price hike (I was also hoping at least DC would justify the price by using decent glossy papers), I will pick this up for the sake of completing the crisis collections.
Yeah I’m only getting this if there is a serious sale. It is a shame because I did really like this story.
Me too, just completing the crisis. And that'll be all.
Zero Hour is quite readable without all the unnecessary padding of the tie-ins.
I'm sure issues 4-0 can be found in "dollar" bins across the globe. That's where I got my copies...
Buy cheap and read it first before splurging out on this tome is what I would suggest if you really like it.
I feel this event is not that bad, but 175$ is crazy money ! I got it still wrapped on the second market for 60€ a couple of years ago.
I've been waiting for this for an age now.
Im pleased i have an opportunity to get it 🤘🔥
Hey, read the 1994 Punisher/Batman and tell me it doesn't lead directly into Zero Hour #4. Note that P/B was published just before the event.
Yal guys haven’t review Superman Sliver Age Ombinus Vol 1. Just got that hoe yesterday and as a Superman fan, it was nice addition to my collection. But I realize a lot of people and channels don’t cover Superman too much
I know Omar isn't really keen on stories pre crisis especially older DC books so i wouldn't get ur hopes up on a overview.
It’s a matter of reading the stories. I’m about a fourth of the way in. Just takes a while, but I will be doing an overview.
I'll be excited to watch the overview Omar. Know little about that period of DC.
Happy Birthday Omar!🎉 i hope you have a nice day and thank you for the zero hour upload!
If this is mapped the same as the previous printing, is not that good, especially the Batman issues.
The guys at OPB did an overview and their book look a lot more matte than this one, like the old TPB used to look.
No offense to those guys, but they aren't book reviewers. This paper stock looks similar to Death Metal and it's not matte for sure.
@@trishb.6398 maybe was the lighting they used (¿?), checking again, even the cover looked matte.
@@trishb.6398 i think its the same god awful paper DC's been using on their deluxe and standard hcs, tpb i dont know cause i dont buy them
Wish I’d picked up the previous printing but it’s a big price tag no matter which edition. Thanks Omar!
I've never read any of the DC Crises and with the price for this book, I'm not going to start here.
😲 Do my eyes betray me? or has Omar proudly displayed the Alf action figure on his shelf? Lol
Alf is his favorite. Trust me, his cousins barbers sisters husband told me he was. 😅
@@seito1276 that's all the proof i needed 😂
@@rahulnarayan1983, word! ✌️
I’m planning to pick up this book when I can afford it.
Would like to see Omnibuses for DC's Elseworlds books in 1992-93. Possible Convergence, DC Retroactive, and Silver Age
Are you going to review the Superman Silver Age Omnibus?
Pena que no Brasil não sai ... Lança Panini
I rather like the idea of this story
I love a lot of DC event books. Thing is, I b think each issue should have the year it came out like Marvel does.
So this makes it the 30th anniversary edition?
lol yeah.
We need dc challenge omni. Both events. The 80s one had batman, superman, wonder woman, joker as host at times, plastic man, flash, gl, and tons of other heroes and it's never been reprinted. Why? Come on dc comics.
Beautiful book and story . I really need to get this book but will wait for a discount on it this and marvel vs dc comic omnibus is in my list to get this year .
So we are not gonna address CABLE in this DC comic lol😅explain this
Hahaha Rip Hunter? Yeah. It was the 90s Everyone had an Extreme makeover.
I was literally watching @8:48 thinking to myself; what on earth is Cable doing in a DC comic?? Sheesh, did someone at DC steal Liefeld's sketchbook!?
It is an expensive one, but I managed to buy it. Soon I'll have all the old crisis and that would be the end for me collecting. I would have reached my goal 😀
I really liked this event back when it came out. Picked up a recent printing a year or 2 ago but haven't read it yet. Will do soon! Also, caught Maxima when you flipped through pages and miss her in Superman. Also reminded me how I wished they left the ending of Armageddon 2001 alone. Captain Atom would've been tremendous as Monarch!
oh my goodness, its the same god awful trash paper DC's been using on their deluxe and standard HCs, thought they would have used the glossy paper on their omnibus atleast
What was missing from this collection, again?
The Batman and Superman Zero Issues.
