    Listening on HiFiMan HE4XX through a Schiit Stack.
    The Klipsch resolve slightly more details in both mids and highs, and have slightly better imaging, but may be more V shaped.
    The Airpulse A100 are far better at lows, specifically bass extension, and maintain a more neutral tonality while still being highly detailed and less V shaped, with mids more forward.
    Both sound good, but the Airpulse A100 will be the more well rounded set of speakers imo.

    Would you be able to try out the now 6-7 year old JBL 530s? May not be too relevant but they are atleast in production again in the US. Would love to see how they are against newer Klipsch speakers.

    I have been choosing speakers for a PC table for the 2nd week already. Now the R2000DB speakers are excellent in their segment. But I really want something higher. My eyes fell on Klipsh r-51pm. They are by no means small. If you sit in front of the monitor at a distance of 1-1.5m, then logically they should be tilted back (special stands are sold 15 degrees tilt the speakers), so that the woofer and tweeter are directed at the face. Will they make an excellent sound from such a distance or will there be nonsense from the sounds of which thread) I don’t know. Or do not regret and buy the Airpulse a100 right away, which are exactly under the comp table like native ones. I'm also considering buying an airpulse a80 and a sub later. Unfortunately, it is not possible to listen to all these three options. But I can only imagine how they sound. Klipsh definitely have a warmer undertone. And airpulse a100, a80 is sharper due to the ribbon tweeter (if you can call it that)) I mostly listen to heavy and electronic music, which seems to hint at Klipsh))) But how will they work on the table?

    I just picked up a pair of R-51m's at BestBuy for $200, (open box in perfect shape, retail was $216) they are REALLY nice for a small to mid-sized room. I have good ears and the A100's were very close. I liked the 51's better in this test. If you listen again the voices sound more real and the bass is crisper. I find the A100's to be slightly too bright. Great comparison.

      @@nofilter2091 I want to get something and I am so confused with which way to go. I got powered speakers like the 51-PM's available for $339 on Amazon now and considering the Edifier S3000Pro but for $799 I can get a receiver and speakers for that price that probably sound better.

    • @nofilter2091
      @nofilter2091 4 года назад

      @@edmondsamuel51 I got these for my gaming PC setup and general audio use. The PM's are just powered and sound the same, but the SOURCE is most important. I bought a Focusrite Scarlett solo 3rd gen DAC ($109) and ran it to a high-end receiver that I already had. If you are using a PC as the source then I would recommend the DAC that I bought, it made a pretty noticeable difference in clarity and bass response. It's also great for headphone use as well. Since you already have an amplified speaker, maybe all you need is a DAC like the one I bought to clear up the signal and call it a day.

      There are aspects and characteristics of those speakers that can not be tranlsated via YT video that elevate A100 over R51PM, like sense of space and 3D imagining, very low self noise level, headroom and overall build quality. Do they justify the price difference? It is very subjective to be honest, for me personally it is, but for someone else the answer can be different
