Awesome video! I own the iRig stream the small one that he shows. It works for me. Just plug in the Aux and if I need a mic I connect it to iRig and connect it to my phone and BOOM! I’m streaming 😊works great. This new one Quattro looks pretty damn cool though! 🎉
don't have rec output on prime 4+. I only want to record my sessions with a sound card and cell phone or tablet. What do you advise me? Could I record from my main output or booth? All the best
You know Phill its a little not mentioned every interface is made from a Dsp or a Dac and inputs outputs and the existance of a line out or headphone outputs are not determinating is it interface, it equally coud be only a dac or dsp relating on what kind of a chip are you working with. Check the Astell & kern players or the new sony walkman series or even the Fiio players - some of them coud act as an interface while working together with a PC while converting digital to analog signal or in the opposite way
This is a great video. I recently got a Prime Go and to make up for the lack of a sampler/slicer I wanted to get some sort of midi controller / drum pad to connect into the aux. any interface or controller you recommend for that?

Hello Phil, i enjoy that video, I seen a lot Livestream content creators use it for mamy reason, I just wish they would add a extra in put, but hey I hope they pay attention to it asap. Now i use the Irig pro duo, still works great when I go live stream with it, just different tools I use to go live since I go a headphone jack on my phone 📱 (Keep headphone jacks alive) lol but great view, going to get some work ✅ stay blessed buddy.

DJ/producers usually have an audio interface, but not for DJing with. Truth is all DJ gear has built-in 4-out audio now, making standalone interfaces a niche thing.

One question I came up with was if you're running a standalone and use an external mixer if you're recording will the volume be low because it's recording off the controller?
I have to disagree with it not being ideal. It's not intended to be a mixer. If you are having one of these you are more than likely to have a proper mixer splitting you headphones, booth and master outputs. This would be really convenient in so many scenarios. podcasting, recording live shows, recording sets having an independent channel to pick up the crowd cheers... I mean, it is absolutely packed with features in a tiny space... and all the controls are visible, no menu diving needed for any setup. I wouldn't turn it down for not having 4 outputs. The only small issue I see (nothing to worry) is the propietary usb out port. It comes with all the adaptors yes, but wouldn't it be perfect with just a thunderbolt or USB output straight away...
Im djing on a DDJ400 at my current club. The problem is the signal im getting from the ddj400 is weaker compared to the other djs cdjs...what can i use to get more volume from my ddj400(my trim is already set correctly aswell as the main volume on the ddj400 itself)
To be honest if they where to make a 4 in 4 out to allow DVS it would only be good for VDJ. Not sure Serato Rekbox or even Traktor would give native support to this interface...
Reminds me a bit of some of the offerings from CEntrance, but with a lower sample rate (boo). The MIDI is nice I guess? The elephant in the room though: sound interfaces supported by DVS, are up to the DVS vendor. Serato even deprecated support for the SL4, which is absolutely infuriating. At least I can still use the SL4 with other DVS software, but it doesn't matter if some company makes the greatest audio interface in the world, if the proprietary closed source vendors don't support it. I don't want to be arsed to hack binary drivers for unsupported kit anymore.
Not actually true any more. To our knowledge nowadays all DVS systems will work with all audio interfaces that offer the minimum 4-in,4-out, except as you say Serato.
Running a standalone controller, so this is even closer to perfect for me. Thanks for the review.

Audio quality on a platform is not due to the audio interface so doesn’t really matter which one you use

Nothing simple. The best option is to turn up the gain/level on the club mixer you are plugging in to.
