If you put your diafragm ring on C you can control it with the front wheel... (you can do the same with the shutter speed) then you may have the camera better suited for your "modern taste"... Perhaps you should read the instruction manual... By the way: I dare say that with the articulating acessory you get a vertical viewfinder (and other angles as well). The "waist level finder" was to be used... at waist level (of course)! The nearest thing to a waist finder in the GFX 50S is switching on the screen and tilting it at an horizontal angle... and view it at waist heigh...! I hope you do not think I was too harsh on my comment... If it was just a cafe chit chat... but if you want to work as a pro, you should talk a proper language...!

The d810 has a focusing issue... it can match the gfx 50s if it nails the focus.
