Cabins like this are a great option to stay on road trips. We just wish there were more. We have visited several Civil War era sites. It was our second stop ay Vicksburg. The sites have a lot of info that allows you to follow the progress of events and some really wonderful memorials.

Well now, that sure looked like one wonderful trip!! For a number of years straight would take an annual trip to the Orlando region before 2020. One day I'll need to return. So many awesome sights!
We have not stayed in Orlando, only passed through. We do like the coasts though especially where less developed. Road trips enable us to get a look at so many contrasting places. Just a shame that covid came along and interrupted our plans. Hopefully we can get going again soon. Best wishes from the UK once more.

Cedar Key was a wonderful contrast with other parts of the coast with their lines of resort hotels. The old fashioned hotels with their wrap around balconies and creaky floors are much more to our taste. Thanks for watching.
It looks like you both had a fabulous US road trip back in 2017 Ivor, with so many wonderful memories. Your accommodation here looked great and in a perfect position over the water. the military park looked amazing, they certainly respect their military very highly in the US. Cedar key looks like a lovely chilled town to spend some time.
Thanks Nettie. We had many great road trips in North America (about 30). We would have done a few more if not for Covid and now health issues. Still would love to go back and see more. Age though starting to catch up! Cedar Key was a place we would really like to experience again.

Ivor, I had similar situation with yours but luckily you managed to use Robert's still images and I can see you have been exploring a lot of destinations in US. I didn't know Lu was in Daktari. The ones I saw in Harare safari must have been his relatives, communicating with a crocodile while observed by Zoologist. Great photography and enjoy your weekend! L46
