Plot Twist: Evan wakes up the next day and the whole entire musical is just a dream and there is no Patrice or Archie or anyone else and the dream happened because he watched High School Musical before he went to bed.
same! I'm in this at my school right now though as Cassie, but we had to cut like everything because administration had a problem with the use if the word "tongue"
+Hunter Clashes Dan Quayle ( a vice president ) was mocked endlessly because he asked a kid how to spell potato, then told him he'd gotten it wrong because the kid hadn't put an "e" at the end. Hence, "potatoe" is seen on stage in this production that's supposed to be at "Dan Quayle Middle School." Quayle was from Indiana, btw. They got that right too.
I cried because my sister did it with her school and I'm doing it in a week what it means to be a friend is the song she did I cry every time and I'm Evan the main character yay
This show was super cute!! Stop judging the performance & take it for what it is. There is so much potential in these students & it makes me so happy to see youngsters being so passionate about theatre :-)
@@madeleinebadun6100 hey omg 9 years ago lmfao. some people have dyslexia and other things which can affect their spelling on words like there/they're/their and your/you're
This is one of the best versions of "Tell Her" I have seen! Between the voices and the facial expressions, it was awesome! A lot of videos only show the soloist singing, but I like how we see both at the same time. That song rivaled Broadway!
This is a FANTASTIC cast. Evan was really really good, Patrice was phenomenal, Brett and his goons were a bit lacking but overall very nice, Archie was adorable and Kendra & Lucy were just awesome. Well done to everyone here!!!
I am obsessed with 13, Ariana Grande introduced it to me and this is my favorite version on youtube, I watch it at least once a month. It is being turned into a movie and my dream role is Patrice!
I've watched a tremendous number of '13' productions over RUclips the last month, and I have to say that this is my favorite (excluding the abysmally filmed "Goodspeed" version that has the real cast, pre-Broadway. That's not a fair comparison since they're pros.) But of all the amateur productions I've watched, this version has my favorite Archie, Brett, Evan, Lucy and Patrice. I guess that really means, KUDOS TO THE DIRECTOR. You did good.
You know I would be mad about the words in the middle of the screen but it so good quality and the cast is soo good like they actually have voice cracks good job
This was absolutely one of THE best versions of 13 I've seen!! Everyone played their part to their full potential, and the entire cast showed amazing talent, especially for a non-professional production! Blew me AWAY!
I think the songs Terminal Illness, Getting Ready and It Can't Be True are so funny! I thought Patrice, Lucy, Kendra and Archie were really good, especially Lucy. I wish we could do this for our school production!!
Ok I know this isn't the original one on broadway and I don't even know if this was done professionally or not but I know the girl who plays patrice. No joke she like just came out of high school and she was a counselor at my theater camp. When I watched this I was like "I know this is Meredith it looks exactly like her!" And even though I'm really good at this (trust me it's like my secret super power) I needed clarification (I always do) so I went to the website and I was like "Yes!!!!"
I want to do this show SO BAD! I used What it Means to Be a Friend for my audition song this year so I hope next year the teachers consider it. I personally think this version is better than the broadway.
The greatest musical yet, songs and script really evokes a feeling of sadness. I wish something like this happened when I was 13 (If i'm even in US) so..... Great performance though !
Jason Robert Brown is a musical genius - not just because of '13' but because of the full body of his work. I don't say this about any other modern composer. I'm in awe.
This is a really great version of the show! My dance school is doing this as our musical this term. It's my final show with all of my friends before I go off to study musical theatre at a drama school, and I'm so excited to be playing Lucy!
I was registered for all the updates of the Broadway version before it opened and there was A LOT of hype. I really wanted to go, but next thing I knew, it closed. Thanks for posting this. I really enjoyed it. (and you're right, the logo is not so noticeable after a few minutes.
I may sound extremely creepy but since I got Lucy in 13 I've been watching this show over an over and over so many times. I even looked up the people on Facebook, I literally need help. Everyone is all so grown up and drifted apart..I guess that's life though and I realize that's gonna be my cast :(
I know this comment was so long ago, but I hope you’re doing well! I was Evan in my school’s production literally 13 years ago, and I definitely miss it. A whole lot has changed since then. My best friend who was also in the play killed himself a few years ago, and this past week as I’ve found myself taking a nostalgic dive into these songs and videos, I just wish I could talk to him about these memories, and I’d love to talk to my old classmates about it, and everyone else who’s ever been in 13. The fact that I’ll never be able to see the original broadway cast sucks, but I’m glad this musical lives on with new productions and even a Netflix movie!
Great video. Stop saying it isn't as good as the Broadway cast. It's Community Theatre, but damn good community theatre. I appreciate it being posted as I've never seen the show and probably wont get a chance. Great job!
although they are very pitchy this is a very good bootleg, most youtube bootlegs have laughing, shaking and heads in the way of the camera, in this version you can actually see the characters faces, which is a nice change!
I love the Lucy and Kendra, one of the best productions of the play, but bad bad news was full of chaos. It was good just lacked of something. I really wish that the Richie hit the high note and note the little kid. I am Richie in a production and I am older and can hit that note, but I get it. Anyone agree
+Two-Tube I agree. That's one of the flaws. Also, the absence of "Being a geek" kills me, but this musical was probably done before JRB finished updating the script (he revised it AFTER the Broadway failure) to include the song. Being a Geek, when properly done, is the best/funniest song in the entire show.
I watched this for the first time like 6 years ago, and right now, I'm watching the guy who played Evan on instagram live and my inner 12 year old doesn't know how to feel.
Plot Twist: Evan wakes up the next day and the whole entire musical is just a dream and there is no Patrice or Archie or anyone else and the dream happened because he watched High School Musical before he went to bed.
Christopher Michael BAHAHAHAHA yes!
Wow u have an imagination lol
Cliche ending but cool
That’s the exact ending my literature teacher tells me not to do in a story
😂 YESSSS

can we just recognize that girl who is playing Lucy cause she is amazing
Kaya Olson it’s Liz, she plays Jade in Victorious
Kaya Olson well, the person who actually plays her
that’s Liz Gillies-
she’s so talented omgggg
in the original * not in this
the girl who plays lucy is realy good! sounds kinda like liz gillies too
literally nobody can replace liz!!
@literally maybe because the actress is Liz
Ok In the og but not this one
Liz did play lucy dumbass
wait is Liz in this or not?
I almost cried when she was singing the friend song because in the backround there was a book called potatoe?

Like if your NOT here for Ariana and Liz ! Like if your here for the show in general !
Like if you know the difference between "your" and "you're".
It's kind of disappointing how people born and raised in North America are so bad at their native language *****
Good on you for knowing!

Omg! The lead guy (Tanner Mead) goes to my school and is extremely talented, I'm surprised I actually found the one with him in it
He is really talented! I hope he sticks with it cause theatre needs more talented boys!!
