I've seen so many clips of people playing these Fionas but this group is still my standard. Their performance is strong and obviously Broadway material. Everything and everyone else is weak.
I have seen it on Broadway, but when I went to Grand Lake, CO I saw it at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre. I thought RMRT actually did it even better and had better singers. Jamie Anderson played Fiona and I saw her a year before on Broadway in NYC.
I did the math, and technically "Teen" Fiona is only NINE years old, as the script mentions that Young Fiona was sent to the tower at age 7. 958 days is not nearly as long a time as it sounds. I've loved this song forever, but I'm just now realizing I wish they had thought through the lyrics more carefully. Then again, 3,058 days, which would have been a more accurate number for Teen Fiona, (setting her at fifteen rather than nine), would have made Adult Fiona's line "8,423" less funny. Oh well. It's still a great song.

Lil' Miss Mickey, my school's drama club is doing Shrek Junior as the play this year too. I'm part of the tech crew, so I control the sound. It's quite entertaining to listen how well the Fionas can hold their notes! ( ◠‿◠ )
I tried out for my school play because we were doing Shrek Jr... ( we only do jr shows 😳) and when I looked for the songs, I found this, and I was dying to do this song. I know I wasn't going to get Fiona cuz I'm not talented enough... but I really wanted to be young Fiona.. the day the callback list came out, my name wasn't in it.. I thought I had no chance of getting the part. The day the cast list came out, u was excepting to be a fairytale creature or something like that, but when I looked, I got the part!!! I'm so happy, and the first rehearsal is in two days... I'm super happy, and I got a compliment from the girl who is gonna play farquaad 😂😂😂
Ahh... I get flashbacks with this song. We did the Shrek play at our school, and it was really enjoyable. We had about 85 kids, if not more, in the play from all grades above 4th. I was chosen to be teen Fiona, my 8th grade friend to be Fiona, and my friend in a lower grade than me was young Fiona. I remember having to search up what "hose" meant. Pants... Manly... pants... And everyone laughed at my preenup line as well. It was hard to stop grinning from my tower overlooking the audience. I really felt like a princess... And dang these actresses are amazing. Ooohhhooo they give me chills their voices are so beautiful~
I think all three of these girls are very very good performers. Sutton never fails at mastering anything she sings. She is such a sweet person and is such an inspiration. Leah is such a sweetheart as well...she will go very very far with her carrer. And Marissa I think also has a very good voice like Leah and Sutton, she has grown up soo much since her performance in "Annie". I think all three of these women deserve their kudos. I think all of these girls are amazing singers!
