    This is what the show itself is missing today; life; the people walking in the foreground adds to the overall atmosphere. You don't see this in the show today; it feels controlled to the point where everyone in the room seems like robots, whether it being the way the conductor smiles excessively or the way they won't allow any seats to be shown as empty. The Oscars need some happy little accidents... to add the sense of life.

    • @MrAkashvj96
      @MrAkashvj96 10 лет назад +6

      Joseph Miller Slumdog Millionaire is anything but art. I mean seriously I'm not a fan of Button but how the hell is the cinematography in slumdog superior to that in Button.

    • @skateordie002
      @skateordie002 10 лет назад +6

      Joseph Miller The cinematography was gorgeous in The Dark Knight, though. I mean, so was Slumdog's from what I've seen, I adore Dod Mantle's work but still, it's an opinion. Don't be so pretentious.

    • @MrAkashvj96
      @MrAkashvj96 10 лет назад +4

      Robert Lugo Slumdog was a sappy and manipulative mess. Danny Boyle clearly tried to replicate what Fernando Meirelles did in City of God, just he failed miserably. The Dark Knight has very good cinematography. In fact the bluish background signifying approaching darkness was very beautifully beautifully portrayed. Benjamin Button (despite its pretentious and nonsensical plot) also had brilliant cinematography though.

    • @skateordie002
      @skateordie002 10 лет назад +1

      Nameless Paladin Well, we're referring exclusively to cinematography, yes? I think Slumdog's cinematography looks pretty good, in my opinion, despite aping the style of City of God. I think it does that part well, from the footage I've seen. Take note, I haven't seen the full film. About Benjamin Button? Haven't seen that either but of course the cinematography there was great, it's Claudio Miranda.
