Brandon's Cabbage, Sausages, and Potatoes

  • Continuing with One Pot Meals for the month of January, I want to give you this video that Brandon does of cabbage, sausages, and potatoes. This was an amazing dish. It is so easy to make, and it doesn't take much time at all. It is so easy; you can put this together when you get home from work or school and feed your family right on time.     Ingredients:
    2 tsp oil
    1 1lb package Brats
    1 med onion, sliced
    6 - 7 small to med red potatoes, sliced
    1 med head cabbage, chopped
    1 15 oz can sauerkraut
    2 tsp garlic, minced
    2 - 3 tsp Greek Seasoning
    salt to taste
    2 Tbsp butter
    Directions:
    In a large skillet, heat oil. Add brats and cook 6 - 7 minutes until browned, or around 140 degrees when tested with a meat thermometer. Remove to a plate and set aside. Add onions and potatoes to oil. Sprinkle with 1 tsp Greek seasoning. Saute just until soft but not completely done. Add cabbage on top of the onion and potatoes. Sprinkle remaining 1 tsp Greek seasoning over cabbage. Stir in sauerkraut, garlic, and butter. Salt to taste. Cook until cabbage is tender. Lay brats back on top of cabbage mixture to complete cooking. Temperature should reach 165 degrees. Serve warm.
