G’day guys, great to see people enjoying the video and leaving some nice comments! This was such a great trip with Sven so glad people are tagging along and enjoying the adventure. There have also been some negative comments about the cod season being closed and I put disclaimer in the description about when this trip was filmed to avoid such comments. This was filmed within the cod season, it takes about a month for me to edit these videos typically and I was overseas the whole of September hence the late upload. I’m very particular about abiding by rules in general and especially before sharing these videos on RUclips hence the disclaimer to be quite clear. It really sucks having people 👎 and leave negative comments so please think twice before doing so as it doesn’t help. Cheers!
What a gorgeous part of our beautiful country , your simple camp/hike vids are just amazing and they inspire me to get out there too . Keep up the great work …. Subscribed
You just popped up in my algorithm. Great video dude, keen to watch more of yours. Needs to be an up and coming collab video happen with you, scottys gone walkabouts, sillyswagman and Luke’s little tribe 😝
Great to see you back out there Scotty! Too bad you still can't catch a fish 😜 You could probably save some weight in that pack by cutting your toothbrush in half and then drilling it out. Might keep up with your pooch that way. 😊
Haha, I haven’t got to that point yet, there might be easier ways to save a few grams but that is a clever one 🤣 there’s no keeping up with Sven either way though
Just discovered your channel. What a delightful young man you are. Beautiful videography and photography along with wisdom and love of nature. Love Sven too! Thank you for sharing.
Hi! Glad you enjoyed and yes, Sven loves these river trips 😃 Most often on my channel I don’t share river locations and just enjoy capturing the beauty of the area and the adventure, there are many other channels on RUclips which share fantastic locations but there’s a few reasons I don’t. The foremost is mainly out of respect of local fishermen and hikers alike. I would get a lot of hate if I started promoting peoples local fishing holes or camp spots on a stage as big as RUclips. Second is that I’m really in it for the adventure, a lot of trips I love the challenge and thought of going somewhere new and full of unknowns. The less info I can find online the more excited it makes me. To be true to myself it just makes sense to not always state location, though a lot of people would recognise and know and a lot of the time I’d be happy to share personally as well 😃 just you never know the impact or how far reaching sharing locations online can be
Gidday Mr Yowie, just come across your channel and subscribed straight away and absolutely love it :) great filming and the love of nature. Sven is such a beautiful boy. keep up the great adventures and I will follow along with you. Let the adventures flow and stay safe mate.
Awesome scenery, love the video mate. Well done. Your video just turned up and I’m glad it did . Just subscribed. Look forward to more videos. Also your dog is gorgeous .
Love the Energy brother 🙏 Will be looking forward to tapping into more adventures in the beautiful outback !!! Safe travels on your adventures big dog 🔮
Mate, you must be overseas, that's cool, but the outback starts at Bourke and goes west, there is nothing like this in the outback, it's a shithole of a place. This is The Central Tablelands, it's lovely when it's not in drought. Google it, enjoy.
Hi mate. Well documented video. As a travelling from W.A we have been chasing spots like this to camp out while in nsw and vic. I spent a few days on the coast, but way to hectic and busy and have headed straight back inland to be at palces like this until heading back to WA. Any pointers or tips for camps like this or what regions to find them. Thanks.
Hi mate, cheers for the comment, glad you enjoyed. Yeah definitely a lot busier on the coast, so you’ve made a good decision and most rivers in nsw are looking quite healthy at the moment with the recent rain. Your best bet on a good camp if travelling around in the car would be looking at NPWS campgrounds and Hipcamp. If you’re up northern end of nsw definitely poke your head around the New England region and Gwydir highway. If towards south coast don’t miss out on the budawangs, so much to explore, hope that helps 👍
G'Day bloke and puppy. Magical place your getting around. The country is soothing and healing and absolutely beautiful. Cheers😎👍 P.S, Puppy must have been doing somersolts smelling the meat cook. F--king sure I was.🤣
Thanks for a great vid of glorious country. Must warn you about pushing those tent pegs in with your shoe - I ruined an excellent hiking boot, punched a hole straight through the sole 😭
Hi mate, great that you’re into camping! Unfortunately I generally don’t share exact locations for these sorts of videos but all around the central tablelands there is a lot on offer, if you look up ‘Sofala’ which is an old village township you will find very nice riverside camping quite similar and a lot easier to access! Enjoy!
Nice place mate...any chance ya can tell us were it is and what river it is , just a like minded old fella who likes camping up for a few days fishing.
Hi mate! There’s only a handful of big rivers in the central tablelands if that’s enough of a hint and they are all good! I normally try not to explicitly share because RUclips is such a big stage and I don’t want to cop hate sharing someone’s local 😂
@@YonderingYowies I know there is only a handful of big rivers out here mate , ya could of at least just named the bloody river then it's not like I was asking for your secret spot or anyone else's. oh well thanks for nothing.
Hi mate, sometime I will mention where I’m heading but normally I try not to be too explicit, There’s a few reasons for this. The foremost is simple and mainly it is out of respect of local fishos. I would get a lot of hate if I started promoting peoples local fishing holes on a stage as big as RUclips. Second is that I’m really in it for the adventure, a lot of trips I love the challenge and thought of going somewhere new and full of unknowns. Hi mate! You are absolutely right, and I am one to play by the rule book. This video was filmed in August, it takes me about a month to edit the videos and I was overseas during September so held off the upload till I had some content to back it up, cheers and it’s good to hold people accountable 👍
Hi mate, glad you enjoyed the video. The rules vary from place to place, most areas I visit are in nsw and classified as either crown land, state forest or NSW national parks. Crown land is the best of the three, and there’s a lot of freedom on what you can do, state forest a normally pretty good and information is quite clear online though some state forest are more restrictive than others. National parks requires a bit more research, you need to look for the parks land management report for the specific national park which will tell you if off piste and wild camping is allowed. In general, I always avoid as best possible trekking though private property unless I’ve asked the owner, in saying that I believe that legally the ‘riverbed itself is public land’, though this hasn’t stopped me experiencing some gunshots overhead when testing that rule 🤣
Riverbeds or in the water your fine. Riverbanks can be private. Exactly where that line is isn't always clear. The law basically says a riverbed is what contains the regular flow of the river excluding times of flood. At higher water levels you need to basically be in the water if there's adjoining private land.
@@kentcartner1612 Thanks for your detiled response. si if you were hiking you could just stick to the river and hypothetically pass through private land- i bet that would cause some landowner complaints though if you were unlucky
@@YonderingYowies Lol gunshots- scary. thanks for your detailed response-i really appreciate it. I will keep an eye on your channel-keep up the great work
@shanemiller667 I should mention that access is exclusively for fishing under the legislation. Not camping and general hiking. Bit of a rabbit hole but you could try googling the legislation
