"You're alive because of me!!!" couldn't have said it better.
Must be how Alexander the great felt when he came back to mutiny .
@@jontodd5462
I mean, to be fair, Alexander was also the reason they were even out there hundreds of miles away from home in the first place 💀
@@thalmoragent9344 none The less they were alive because of him . And they were home everywhere they went because he conquered every single place .
“You think you’re alive because you can fight”
-Dracula
"This is your loyalty? Your gratitude?!?! Fools!!! Do you think you are alive because you can fight?!?You are alive because of me!! Because of what I did to save you!!!"
I love that part
I do too
Man I wish this monologue was longer
Me too

I mean, why do you blame them so harshly though? A religious group of folks are suddenly faced with an actual Vampire Lord, who literally grows like a powerful beast... not saying Drac is the bad guy, and it's true they shouldn't have jumped the gun on him, but... their fear is understandable
"To them, you're just a freak, like me! They need you right now, but when they don't, they'll cast you out, like a leper! You see, their morals, their code, it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve."
- The Joker (The Dark Knight, 2008)
*_"In spite of everything you've done for them, eventually they will hate you."_*
- The Green Goblin (Spider Man, 2002)
Claps slowly
“When man becomes a beast is it still a sin when you only kill the man?”
@@austinangle4705 I think u might have that backwards bro? Or is the that actual correct cause yes it would be a "sin" to kill a man but to kill a beast that is a man, well you'll have to answer that one?
@@malikedesse4888 HUH
A man sacrifices hid own humanity to save his people and his lover. He earned my respect and loyalty
thing is he DIDN'T sacrifice his humanity. he succeeded in keeping it until they killed his wife and she MADE him bite her to save their son. so he NEVER fell. not like the rest of them who bit the enemies as soon as they could.
@@dragonrage500 Even after he killed his wife he still had his humanity
@@Artorion technically yes. though he himself would consider he was a monster at that point. even if everyone watching the movie thought the same as you and i.
Done the same thing for my older sister
Agreed.
I wanted his rant to continue a bit longer I love this scene
DniedHeadShot Geez same here. That "you think you are alive because you can fight?" line rang so many bells.
Just a couple dozen dead woulda been sufficient! I agree this scene deserved more!
Probably one of the greatest lines when villagers realize he's right
DniedHeadShot So true, i wanted to see him throw some people around or something.

People are only satisfied with you as long as you keep pleasing them. As soon as you start thinking for yourself they turn around and call you the devil.
Sometimes. But that's not what happened here. He turned himself into a monster. A condition that made him nearly rip the arteries of his love. They were afraid.
powerful and true statement. wish we could learn this at an early stage in life
Like liberals?
@@samuelbishop3316 and they were dumb if your aware were his powers are from and that he is only a second generation vampire most commonly in media meaning rather high up on the food chain of immortals you shouldn't try and kill him after he saves you from a army of coldblooded killers better the devil you know in my book
Are you saved? Where will you go when you die? Heaven or hell?
The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell.
John 1:1,14 KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [14] And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us,
1 John 3:8 KJV
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
John 1:10 KJV
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT.
Such a powerful scene that I think is far, far underestimated.
h07mal3 underated*
Robert Vega *underrated
We’ll next time you should estimate it lol
I think its more powerful because you can feel his hurt at the betrayal. that after everything he did. and everything he is giving up (risking his humanity if his will breaks) they STILL tried to kill him. and then LATER when THEY are given the chance they fall in HOURS. not one of them wanted to keep their humanity. they didn't last a DAY under his burden. also even at the end when he finally gave in so he could save his son he still protected his son rather then turn him or kill him like the others tried to get him to do.
Luke Evans did such a good job in this movie, and I wanted to see where they'd go from here! Too bad they're rebooting Dracula again for the Monsters Universe instead of continuing with this one.
Mrgokujr2012 Unfortunately, this got bad reviews.
They canceled the entire Dark Universe cinematic universe
@@stainshield They literally ruined an entire opportunity just with Dracula Untold it could've been a major cinematic experience it would've been had I became a filmmaker & done both the dark universe & the monsterverse both would've been 1 huge cinematic universe top notch .
@person below me is gay I've thought about it I just would need full creative control if I can't then I want do it I need to do it the right way movies these days deserve so much more than what they are .

No wonder Thoros of Myr always went everywhere with a flaming sword
It’s snoowy Thoros, it’s wiindy. It’s gonna be a cooold night.
I just loved how only Miranda could calm him down after all that rant. Powerful scene. Great film
*Mirena*.

That's Love ❣️. Beauty calming the beast was and is always a classic sentiment.
How ungrateful can you be
Exactly.
Such jerks
Humans in a nutshell
: YES
for me, this dracula was the best, luke did a great rol💘😍👍👏👏
King saves his entire people by kicking ass and taking names with awesome powers. People return the favor by trying to murder him because he's a vampire.
Unless it's the vampires from Twilight that was one of the dumbest moves ever made. I mean you have a badass vampire as your king and you try to kill him? It's like having Ghost Rider as your leader and you try to kill him just because he's the devil's bounty hunter.
For a lot of people, it's not about the action. It's about *who* or *what* does the action.
I Think Twilight Is A Great Movie. I Watched Some Movie Clips About It And They Were Fantastic. 😎
Because he is different, he is feared. Even in real life, those who are different are often rejected and feared. We do as sheep do, follow blindly and history repeats itself, constantly.
To be fair if you knew their was a vampire In your area you'd would want to kill him as well
@@tivionte961 You have no idea what anyone would want to do if they knew a Vampire resided in their area. I think there would be plenty of people looking to become Vampires more than there would be those wanting to kill it. We no longer live in the dark ages where religion ruled those who could not think for themselves (Although there are still many of those who exhibit herd mentality). It all comes down to intent when trying to judge what kind of action should be taken in a situation like that.
Just noticed at 2:28 how demonic his breathing is.
Their ingratitude was appaling.
Loved this scene especially where he told them off...
"you're alive because of me"
“In spite of everything you’ve done for them, eventually, they will hate you.” - Green Goblin, Spider-Man (2002)
2:17 Vlad was about ready to start impaling these disloyal buggers. More scenes like this would've made this movie a better start to a "cinematic universe" than The Mummy with the *Dark Universe*
Those sound effects, that soundtrack, the emotion. I have never creative-gasmed more in my life.
It takes a real woman to walk up to her man and put him at ease when everyone else fears to be in his presence, I also saw a similar scene when Betty climbed on Bruce as he transformed into the incredible hulk these two women proved their absolute love for a hulk and a vampire, now that's real ride or die loyalty
When he ripped off the piece of wood, he was ready to impale!
When he said "fools" it somehow reminds me of Vegeta
Ikr
One of the most powerful scenes in motion picture history.
he carefully grabs stick to impale nice minor detail
"Sorry, force of habits"
Well the stick represents him impaling his enemies on stakes
I actually dig Dracula Untold. It's a different take on the Dracula / Vlad Tepes story. This film wasn't to promote historically accurate facts about Vlad Tepes nor to revise Bram Stoker's novel Dracula. It is a twist of the two stories into making a different interpretation of Vlad Dracula. It is Hollywood making a movie to entertain. In my opinion, a lot of movie critics nitpick every single detail of a movie. It just takes the fun out of watching a movie, in and of itself. :\ Movies are meant to entertain and tell a story. Much apologies for my rant of the day. :(
That’s why I don’t like reading reviews nowadays, because the reviews on a movie could all be bad, but I’ll watch the movie that everyone is talking crap on, then next thing you know that’s my new favorite movie
Yup, agree
Vlad becomes a monster to save his people.
His people try and scorch him.
Vlad: Am I a jOke tO yOu?
"Did you people forget my moniker? Did you forget the literal forest of corpses I left in my wake?"
2:17 Old habits die hard...
Lol he was bout to impale someone if she didnt step in.
just goes to show you :/ sacrifice your humanity for others and they will stab you in the back. better to just leave them to their own and leave while you can. they aint worth it.
Then don't sacrifice your humanity while helping others.
EmptyMan000
thats what i just said :/
No, you did not.. You said sacrificing your humanity for others will eventually result in them stabbing you in the back and is overall not worth it. I say one should help others without sacrificing their humanity.
He still did it though, brave man.
EmptyMan000 Your point is invalid. You just repeated what he cleary said he pointed out.
If only this movie had a bigger budget.
But then again, it would've cost Universal tens of millions of dollars.
@@masterpenguin8472 still was a good movie

Great movie still
They movie should've been like 30 minutes extra but it was still good my 3 favorite vampire movie
This is my favorite scene.
me to uh ooh dracule not very happy now!
That's how it starts: the paranoia, then the fear, then the contempt. For 'normal people' hate & fear of what they don't understand. Which begs the question as to who are the real monsters??
Douglas Snyder You mean humans in general by ‘normal people’ right? It’s always in human nature to fear the unknown it’s why gods and folktales were created to make sense of the world around us, at least in history.
The ones who make pacts with eternal dark demons. That was an easy question.
rutger5000 "eternal dark demons" smh. All demons are eternal, they are condemned to an eternal cycle of suffering.
@@rutger5000 You forget why he did that.
Even if the dude is a demon now, he gaved his life and humanity for his people. At least , don't stab him in the back.
You can fear, it's normal, the origin of his powers are not good to humanity. But who did he kill again?Your ennemies who were about to kill you.
@@thegk-verse4216 Humanity is his people. He betrayed his people for his pride. He killed people to safe people, that's human weakness not heroism. A flaw reasonable people accept as part of humanity, but do not celebrate.
An in the end he doomed the souls of many of his people, because he messed with a power he did not understand, underestimated, and was beyond him.
This is ur loyalty your gratitude fools.

The Darkness: Staayyy awaaayyy from the liiiiiiggghhhttt!
I love how the peasantry seem to be worried more about the fact that their leader might be a heretic, instead of the Ottomans in their doorstep.
None favor the warrior class, until the enemy is at your doorstep!!!
the way he says "fools" gave me chills
It's a crime that his whole lecture didnt go on longer
YOU THINK YOU'RE ALIVE BECAUSE YOU CAN FIGHTTT!!!!.... YOU'RE ALIVE BECAUSE OF ME.... AND WHAT I DID TO SAVE YOU!!...
And what he did to save them, ended up dooming them. Yet if he had found his courage and listen to the priest the good guys would have won.

This is how humans repay you...

*¡You're alive because of me!*
An incredible performance. Every word felt so deep and amazing. Luke Evans does a simply masterful job with such intense lines.
I felt every bit of pain in that woman's voice. The acting for this movie was phenomenal. 💯
Vlad: saves everyone from slavery
People: I diagnose you with monster
And that one guy : '' i diagnose you with Satan lives in your heart "
🫠
Well to be fair💁... both of those things can be and are true🤗
The moment he walked out they knew he was pissed off
That's so me when my mom opens my blinds to my room
This is one of my favorite scenes of the movie the music sets the tone perfect and u can feel his hate for his ungrateful people in that moment
The way he ripped a plank off the burning structure, and the anger in his voice when he shouted "you are alive because of me!".
He was about to stake someone before Mirena calmed him down, wasn't he?
" This is not who you are"
Actually that is exactly who he is
They made Parkinson's character serious in this movie, I don't think any universal movies ever had their protagonists son look powerful and strong like Art, well made director look good making this movie
Wen he growls
"this is your loyalty, your gratitude?"
well said
Critics really can't tell how good this movie is. Can't believe this doesn't have a 2nd installment. Luke did a great job being Drake tho 😍
"You think you're alive because you can fight!?" My favorite line
They try to kill him because he's a vampire but wen he offers them the power they gladly accept it
One of the most underrated scenes in the history of movies! 👏🏻🔥
No good dead goes unpunished
For me one of the greatest scenes in history. Love the movie for that single scene.
In 99% of the movies you get your soft and humble bullshit hero always appologizing for everything. Was always waiting for one to step up and tellin his ppl how lucky they are.
For fictional heroes this guy and the "tragic" hero Pain from Naruto are my all time favourites.
Indeed. Itachi Uchiha is an even darker iteration of this, with nobody except a select few knowing his sacrifice.
For me too
Vlad the impaler picks up wood angrily.
Wife: "This is not who you are"
Uhhhh?
He literally impaled thousands angrily.
I would have liked to hear him say "You do well to run Judas".
The Best Dracula.
- You think you're alive because u can FIGHT???
- YOU'RE ALIVE BECAUSE OF WHAT I DID TO SAVE YOU!!!
A great ruler never sacrifice his people for peace. He sacrifices himself for peace. Dracula son of the Dragon
Anyone that's ever done something good to only be betrayed knows this is really good acting.

Vlad **becomes monster to save people**
People: so you've chosen death
I didn't notice that the light told Vlad to smile for the camera 😂😂😂😂
before his face started to evaporate!?
This is why you shouldn't save random people. They'll take your protection for granted (or worse, they'll think that they deserve such thing), and then stab you in the back as soon as one tiny thing goes wrong.
One of the best movies i have seen.It definitely needs a sequel.the climax leaves you wanting another sequel. It will be a shame if they cast luke evans in dark universe instead of a sequel
Beauty calming the beast ❣️. Was and always will be a classic sentiment.
