You meet him who rejoices and does righteousness, Who remembers You in Your ways. You are indeed angry, for we have sinned- In these ways we continue; And we need to be saved. But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away. Isaiah 64:5-6 NKJV Our best efforts to be righteous are as filthy rags. We are totally and completely dead and reprobate in our sins. Thank God Jesus finds us in our broken state. He meets us and offers salvation as a free gift
My favorite saying, and i offer it as advice to anyone afraid of coming forward in church because they feel they cant possibly live up to God's expectations is "God doesn't expect perfection, thats why he gave us Jesus. All he asks for is your honest, best effort to follow his word"
Man this is awesome. I went to a catholic school from pre k- 8th grade and then public highschool. I lost faith after 8th grade and I am now 21 and starting to try to find my faith again. This song really hit me to humble myself and come close again.
I love this song and every aspect of it. I love All of Morgan’s songs, and most catholic country songs. I love the message of this song, saying he will never forgive himself for his sins (he was cancelled for saying a racial slur a year or so ago which humbled him and turned into a new Morgan that I love a lot). He’s saying he’s never gonna forgive himself for those sins, but Jesus will. And if he was in Jesus’ shoes he would send himself to hell for these past mistakes but he’s grateful because he knows Jesus isn’t that petty. He’s saying that if he was Jesus he would make thing too easy for those who are sinners and need to change, and even though it hurts him, he knows Jesus has to do it (“I wish you would’ve woke me up an easier way, but I don’t think Jesus does it that way”). There’s so much to dig into with this song, which makes it one of my favorites right now
James, one of my favorite Country Artists has a powerful message in one of his songs that I recommend you and Andrea react to. It's Chris Janson- Drunk Girl
I agree with everything said during this video and the message of the music itself as a minister it's hard to find good messages in the music industry today.
Great reaction and message, keep up the good work. Have you reacted to Larry Fleet's song "Where I Find God" ... I think his song has a pretty good message, and you'd probably enjoy it.
My favorite person that is proof of Gods work is Desmond Doss. Look him up if you don’t know who that is and watch the move about him called Hacksaw Ridge
PASTOR..PASTOR... I live for your guys reactions and your messages. Can i just say i giggled for a good 5 min and had to pause the video..second verse..you were talking about Christians making mistskes etc and you were referring to the lyrics..and you said " Boy goes into *Honkey Honkey* bar."..(vs Honkey Tonk) 🤣🎼🙋♀️🥰🛐🆗️ seriously though..i am teasing you..but as always..i received a good strong message and I got a giggle .. thank you
Sir I love listening to your reactions. If you get the chance I'd love to hear your take on Dax-Dear Alcohol Mega Remix. The stories in each verse is unique and pretty special.
I’ve listened to this song so much and never really listened to lyrics so much. now i really understand the chorus of this song. i would always say God would never do those things to you but now after this video i understand what the message of the song was about
there is a context to this song. morgan made a big big mistake 3 years ago and it got him in alot of trouble. This song shows how much he grown as a person and individual
I was a Christian until I turned 12-I saw everyone in my church being hypocritical (Examples: judgemental if you weren't dress to the 9s, gossiping about members confessing and being honest about several things) yet the woman who was supposed to be her best friend told the entirety of the congregation about the woman's problems. I felt like I was playing a part, for society, not getting spiritually closer to God. The final straw, was in my youth Sunday school classes, I had so many questions about certain verses, specific words that I thought personally were wrong with the meaning of them, to which the youth pastor raised his voice at me because I challenged a few of his views. He told me that he was meeting with the board about me, and deciding if I would be banned 100% from church events, Bible study, judgement house, any events that associated with the church, and no sermons. All because of 9 questions that I thought were great questions to asking him, since I wanted a semblance to answers (he didn't answer them, and told me i was not welcome there anymore. It made me so confused and I became agnostic until I found your videos. I'm trying not to cry but you are the next best thing to all good religious people we know of. You are slowly reeling myself back into the faith, and I want you to know, that you just earned an extra award in heaven due to the good this channel has done for those who need it. I love you, your wife loves you even more, and God/Jesus loves you the most. Blessings, Ciara A. Stone
I know humans are not perfect but we are to strive daily to be Christ like that means willingly s i n n i n g and doing the same thing over every day and then asking for forgiveness that becomes more like an apology example you commit adultery ask Jesus to forgive you and go the next day and ask Jesus to forgive you that is willingly s i n n i n g no we are not perfect like I said but we have to strive to the c h r i s t l i k e daily and yes we will mess up but that's where the grace of Jesus comes in and we can repent and ask for forgiveness like the woman who was going to be stoned to death Jesus said he who is without sin cast the first stone and he also told the woman go now and s i n no more and I pray everyone has a blessed life in Jesus's name amen amen
When you ask God to help you understand the Bible it's easy to find out which way you are supposed to do it. At this point in time most Christians aren't doing it, they're doing it their way. They worship the way they want not the way they were asked to. Christianity is so full of man-made tradition and it's wrong. I follow Jesus. I don't follow a "church" think about this one simple thing, if Jesus encouraged us to celebrate Christmas in the Bible... Do you think anyone would do it? Because what I've seen in my lifetime, is people would rather worship the way they want to then the way they have been told to by God. And I'm pretty sure Jesus told the Pharisees and scribes how he felt about that.
Morgan humbled himself so much in this, pushing God up and himself down. Song is perfect!
"World likes to rear back and throw a few stones" John 8:7 “he who is without sin throw the first stone”

Actually ANY human effort is an affront to God……. We follow cause we are saved, not to get or stay saved

That’s Really nice
same scenario for me. Returning to my faith is the best thing to happen to me.
I was skeptical of this reaction .. but every word you said pastor was 1000000 percent ON!!! Thank you for following the REAL way of Jesus! 🙏🙏

Except they tried to cancel him, and he came back and sold out an entire set of shows.
I mean this isn't specifically a Catholic song... it encompasses pretty much all denominations of Christianity
THANK YOU PASTOR!!!!! The spirit of GRACE resides in you my friend!!!
Wow. Hearing you speak has me wanting to go back to church. Thank you, Sir.
Well you definitely should do that. Pray to God to help you find a church where the truth is being preached.

John Hagee preached Sunday that to save America we need to go back to the Ten Commandments!
True, but we have to be a bit careful about the way we go doing institutionalize the Ten Commandments.
If I can't handle even my siblings. Man.... that JESUS is really patient
