This was great, thank you! Love Chris McC, and as a Manc to a Scouser that's particularly meaningful! ;-) Also my background was in computing before I escaped, so I'm empathising way more than expected. Thanks James for a great interview.
Brilliant interview. If you haven't watched Scared of the Dark I thoroughly recommend finding it on catch up if possible. An amazing and fascinating insight into human behaviour and frailties.
Chris such a inspiration to all of us very funny man you almost don't imagine him being blind someone who doesn't have self pity but puts a positive way forward great interview.
A new accolade for Chris is "Strictly Come Dancing Champion 2024". Yes, a blind man winning a ballroom dancing competition. Absolutely fabulous, and so unbelievably courageous.
Illuminating and informative as always. Heres a thought though that Chris might like; heritage fighting game Street Fighter is on no.6 of the mainline sequels now and has hit something of a blinder with both accessibility and "I'm new and can't do all the fancy stuff" malarkey. They have spent SO MUCH time on the sounds cues for visually impaired people that there is a 100% blind man in the top 0.5% of player *globally*...for a 1-on-1 fighting game 😊👌 I thought that, as Chris is driving hard towards visually-impared-inclusion in EVERYTHING (quite right too), that this was worth mentioning... He goes by the tag *Blind Warrior Sven* if anyone is interested 👍
I think he would be perfect for an edition of Knives Out, if they ever wrote a role for a blind character.... Him with Daniel Craig I think would be hilarious...
I'd quite like to see disabled actors playing a part where their disability isn't the hook to hang the character on, you know, just auditioning along with other actors for a part.
The problem with comparing modern experiences to someone like the Two Ronnies, is that there were only two or three channels on TV when they were big, so entertainment is what the country was given or pushed on us. I don’t think they would be a big as they were today, even if their humour was modernised, as we have so many different channels and options, it isn’t as easy.
I didn't have a clue who this guy was so searched his name and was informed his best known for his role in cebeebies 😂 quite ironic considering JOB regularly mocks a rival channel with this name 😂
Had no idea he was on that. Hes on would i lie to you and very funny on that. I think he did countdown and maybe qi as well. I cant wait to see him on taskmaster although they seem to have really bad people on it now.
What a wonderful conversation, what a fantastic man!
This has been such a tonic for me. What a great hour well spent.❤
I love Chris’s comedy appearances and stand up, I’m glad to hear his perspective

Also they didn’t become famous until they were older than Chris
This guys tastes are near identical to mine.
❤
Warm interviewee.Cold interviewer. Can James just occasionally look up and smile. Always appears bored.
Smile at whom? There is interest and engagement in his voice, and Chris no doubt responds to that.
Doubt Chris realises James isn't looking up.
😂😂
😳

He calls gb news GeeBeebies as it’s political stuff for adults with a mental age of four. Not knocking the kids channel at all

Its two guys. Which one did you not know?
and now the winner of Strictly.
