    I'm glad Kevin has found a path to peace. This reminds me that we often perceive highly successful people as living their best lives, but in reality, I wouldn't want any level of financial success if it meant enduring such immense stress and anxiety.

    I was injected with ketamine twice in the ER after tearing and dislocating my elbow training jiujitsu -- twice because my elbow came out of place in the cast. Two entirely different experiences, one with this feeling of deep love for everyone and everything, one of deep introspection in what felt like the depths of my soul and realizing there are some mental changes I could make that would cost me nothing.
    Despite the injury, I've never enjoyed my life more since that night in the ER. There are other factors at play, like my daly meditation, work in therapy (which I feel good enough to have ended in December), and reminding myself frequently that I'm on a little ball of dirt in the middle of a 13.8 billion year old universe for almost no time, so I may as well enjoy the gift of life. But there was something about those unintentional ketamine sessions that I can't help but feel nudged me toward feeling better about being alive every day.
    I'm glad Kevin had similar experiences. And I'm glad others can have their own experiences without their elbow exploding!

    I did a series of 6 Ketamine infusions about two months ago. I can concur, it's a life changing situation, and I couldn't be happier that I dud it. Expensive for the normal person, in my opinion, but a blessing for sure.

      Drugs likely only put your nervous system in a state where it is more open/receptive to change...But there still has to be psychological work/delving for there to be progress.

    • @davidoconnor1773
      @davidoconnor1773 10 месяцев назад +4

      Because the drugs are not the work, they're just a map for the work. What you're asking for is spiritual bypass, and it just doesn't work that way. You still need to take all of the insights that you get from psychedelics and integrate them, probably with a professional, and that is work that a) takes years usually, and b) most people just aren't prepared to do. This is largely the problem with how psychedelics has been discussed in the last 10 years, including by people like Tim, because they paint it as a panacea, which its not, but also its exactly the reason why they do not see tangible, lasting effects from their use.

    • @jayleeds2006
      @jayleeds2006 8 месяцев назад

      Noticed they never got back to the actual source of the problem, or the reason why Kevin had anxiety in the first place.
      Kevin sold MoonBird NFTs
      MoonBird NFTs hurt some people financially.
      Kevin felt empathy for those negatively affected and developed anxiety from Twitter comments
      The Twitter comments caused him pain equivalent to the that of a dislocated hip?
      Kevin got high on Ketamine
      When he sobered up, nothing changed, no problems were solved, people were still hurting
      But Kevin says he feels better.
      Drugs don't solve problems. They only distract you from reality temporarily.
      When you get back down from your high, the problems will still be there.
      Ketamine can't fix money problems due to lost NFT investments or any real world problem.
      You have to solve your problems by being analytical, creative, resourceful. and approaching solutions with a clear head.

    • @4DTravelr
      @4DTravelr 4 месяца назад

      @@jayleeds2006It's not like what you said is false but I think you're missing the psychedelic aspect.
      The ket let him access a spiritual realization that is factually accurate. Similar states and destination and revelation can be achieved through meditation, astral travel, and other non-drug methods. Would you be as critical if he discovered that life and its struggles are not worth stressing about thru those natural methods? Same criticism applies - those don't help the rekt NFT investors either.
      Sounds like you might just have a bias against a tool, in this case ketamine.

    It sounds like he's describing a detachment from ego and an awareness of his truer self, without the external world contamination. It's a deep sense of peace that most folks aren't aware they can achieve at any time. People can also achieve this through a dedicated meditation practice along the lines of TM. Interesting how different people arrive at the same place, but they take different roads to get there.

    Kevin was naive about crypto and nfts. The market for these things commonly exhibit pump and dump dynamics. You can't ignore this and you have to be overt about these risks and you can't talk around these things if you are leading a project. Im not impressed that Kevin took some drugs and now feels better about his naivety causing financial harm to people or Tim's smirk dismissing people blaming Kevin. This is flakiness personified.

    Probably should have a not medical advice disclaimer.
    “Can literally carry on with your day”?! You are not supposed to drive or use heavy equipment for rest of the day.
    Additionally, for treatment resistant severe depression “booster” treatments are often administered every 1-3 months. The protocols, studies and science seems being developed, but the tolerance and safety seems well understood and the the out of options alternatives like transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) are experimental and permanent.

    I think it sounds great, however there is no one size fits all in anything in life.
    Also, an IV? Injections in your blood should be HIGHLY regulated.
    I’m glad he found this helpful, but at $500 per session, $3,000 for 6 sessions, it’s clearly unaffordable for most
    The key takeaway as they said towards the end, the things that cause anxiety for 99% of the time are literally stupid and silly. Think about that or a min.

    • @ChristopherCopeland
      @ChristopherCopeland 10 месяцев назад +3

      It can be very different to know something intellectually vs perceiving it as what you understand it to be. That’s what every fear is. When our brains have been wired to fear something, our brains try to maintain the fear because it thinks the fear will help keep us alive.
      IVs are very common, and there are many services where you can have people do a house call to give you a saline IV to help with getting over a sickness. I’m also not sure why you would assume that this licensed medical facility wouldn’t be professional about their IV use.
      Also, the government/religion has done SO much work to make us afraid of drugs. Kinda funny that you’re suggesting we should just drop our fears, but at the same time you’re speaking down on the drugs based on what seems like fear. If you haven’t tried it, why would you assume it’s not going to work for everyone?
      Just some thoughts! 😊

      IV ketamine is regulated - as long as you do it properly in a clinic with a Dr. it’s very very safe medicine that they even use on kids in the ER. And while it is expensive, if it changes your life for the better it may be worth it!

    Oh man, Silicon Valley geniuses and you can't get through the day. Guys, there's a great technology for curing guilt and anxiety that's been here for a couple thousand years. It's called Confession, followed by a life of sacraments. Easily accessible and free of charge too. We all make mistakes, even not wanting to. Evil is within us and we need to always be on guard. "For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do -- this I keep on doing", once said St Paul. I love you both, Tim and Kevin. I've been following you guys forever, even before Timtim Talk Talk #01. Be well.

      It was a Gen X thing.
      It was a drug that the club kids in NY were doing, along with crack and cocaine.
      ruclips.net/video/fQ5RFrve468/видео.html
      Now it's on Good Morning America...they appear to want to normalize its use and convince everyone that it is safe and effective.

A rule was broken. Actions have consequences, house wasn’t in order.
