The key here is, when you first begin focus on just one of these income streams. If you put all your time into 1, you will beat the guy who is focusing on 5.
Once you have one income stream down then you can start diversifying.

That's why I feel like most of these programs and courses are so scammy. It's basically that you can start a business! As long as that business is selling other people on the idea that they can start businesses! It's like no one is creating any real value, just talking about how other people can do it.

Ryan, my generation rarely listened to young people for their advice. THAT has all changed (for me). Because knowledge is increasing at such a rapid pace, your generation is able to absorb it and apply it (quicker) than mine. I find you intelligent, articulate, well spoken, not full of self promotional BS, and your multiple income streams are extremely viable. I am proud of you.

So refreshing to hear when someone of an older generation is able to listen to the younger ones!
Usually they're stubborn and think they've already learned everything that there is in life and all the youngsters are superficial shortsighted idiots.
That's extremely heartwarming and refreshing to hear!

Honestly, I don't think people really want to put in the effort to be rich.
I'm 29 but last year I started my side hustle. Fixing appliances. I had literally no clue on how to fix them, but my dryer was acting up and I didn't have much money. I just got done paying for my certifications. RUclips walked me through it and I fixed my dryer all by myself. I got to thinking. This was easy. There's literally a video for all types of appliances and models. Any type of problem as well.
You have appliances at home to work on. Take them apart and put them back together. Change out pieces. Mess with the electrical. You'll get it. I only do maybe 4-6 calls a month, using things like Craigslist and Facebook, but most of the times it's a 10$ piece from the store and 75$ in your pocket. That's all money I save, going on a year now. 👍 You don't have to work hard forever. Work hard to save. Work two jobs for a better future.

Cool story Dustin! Inspiring, really! But don’t work to save, work to save to invest. Read that one twice. Money into your bank account is not moving and neither making you poor or rich, but in order to multiply it you need to keep the ball rolling!

I started my RUclips channel around 1 year ago and gained around 140,000 subscribers and still learning and going in and out of broke cycles but everytime come out better and learn more! My advice from my limited experience only is other than investing in the stock market for the long term (as that has fairly low maintenance compared to the other streams) One should never spread themselves thin, as Confucius said "those who chase 2 rabbits catch none" - A lot of people confuse diversification for getting themselves busy with a thousand other thing outside of their industry. Diversify WITHIN your industry, or else you will never really reap any of the TRUE exponential fruit of any field, and will jack all trades constantly and will end up with never having any time, stress will ruin you and in the end you will probably be making the same income as that of a 9 to 5'er that just has one job! Make your time worth it and if you will work then work smart as well as hard, but don't confuse activity for productivity. I wish everybody the best of luck including myself! - I am also just learning and by no means have made it!!
    PEACE

These are the scammers of the new generation. we had these people when i was younger as well but they didn't have the reach of today's technology. What these "financial experts" (emphasize air quotes - these are far from experts) are doing is the same thing that's been done for generations. Making money off the less intelligent population who think there is a magical get rich quick scheme that works. it used to be books and VHS tapes. now it's RUclips videos and online courses. I pity the people who pay for these things. The money they wasted here they could have invested.

    • @Walperion_Music

Justin Hardee I agree. Today’s standards of being knowlegeable are lower and I can believe you might know some things better than him. But let’s percieve it as something positive! Why don’t you make your own course?
If you know 5 times more than him you’re perfectly capable of making 5 times more money than him doing the same thing. Low bar is a good thing.
And online teachers don’t always should be synonyms of scammers.

I take for granted the secondary source of income I created(Not a RUclips channel). I was in college and needed extra funds so I marketed myself to property owners as a property manager. I networked and found a nice couple that was willing to give me a shot at managing their properties. I started off handling maintenance issues and properry showings. Now I operate and rent out all three of their properties which on average nets me an extra $6k a year from this one source I created 4-5 years ago. Since then I have created several others but I'm extremely proud of that one because I it provides a value added service that is mutually beneficial for both parties.
Best way to create a secondary source of income is to start with a problem and offer a solution. GL

Great work! I followed a very similar path. At 24, I have 6 sources of income: 1. Engineering Job 2. Teaching Job 3. Business selling goods and services 4. Business selling digital product 5. Blue chip investments 6. Social media. Of course, I also have a lot of debt from engineering school, but my business strategy has been to invest half of my profits back into the business and the other half to my loans. It has grown rapidly and I'm projecting by Q4 of 2019 I'll be able to erase my debt with just my business income, leaving my two careers as income I can use for bills, play, and investing further. Social media doesn't bring in nearly as much as I expected, but I'm hoping as my brand grows, that will change. I think the biggest advice that you show here is to make money, you have to work very hard. Cheers!

The thing now is - every other one of us will create our numerous RUclips courses and this market will become so saturated in 3-5 years so it will stop be profitable as well.

I do know this video is a few months old. But i would like to add my story as well. My name is David (of course) and im 25 years old. Ive always wanted to be rich but instead im just a poor country boy. I have managed to get 3 sources of income at the moment, with 2 more sources hopefully coming soon. Im a full time firefighter in my home town. That is my primary source of income. After getting most of my training, i decided to go back to school to learn a trade. I chose to learn welding. Now i have two jobs. The fire dept job pays my bills and provides insurance for my wife, the kids, and I. The welding job is extra income that use primarily to help get out of debt. (Car payments, house payment.) My 3rd source of income has came from investing in growth stocks. No im not collecting money from it, but i have managed to get a 76% return so far. My next 2 sources of income (hopefully) will be getting into the chicken business (remember when i said im a country boy) I really love the old english game bantam breeds of chicken, they are awesome little creatures, and make great pets. My next source of income will hopefully be from creating youtube content with my chickens. (Crazy old chicken ladies might watch it lol). And just for a add in, i wouldnt mind blogging as well. If i could just learn how to write.
So if you've read this and decided you might want to join me as i dive into the chicken/youtube business. Go ahead and get early access by subscribing and clicking that bell, so you will be notified when the first video drops.

It depends on the amount of interest you are paying on the debt. When examining my own student debt, I discovered that there were certain "pieces" of it at 6.8% interest, some at 4.5%, etc. If yours is the same way, you could start by paying the higher interest stuff off FIRST. That will free up more money to accelerate the payment of the remainder or at least leave more money free to invest. My $0.02.

9:20 I think this is very important. Focus on one thing, or at most two of them. There's often an exponential function connected to time/effort spent in an area and the profits you get out of it. Just think about elite athletes, musicians, investors, businesses, RUclipsrs etc. Who do you think are the winners? My guess is that the top 0,1% takes at least 50% of the profits. If you diversify across multiple areas you never get to enjoy the exponential's true effect in any of them.
