I'm guessing that bike path has some sort of connection to the new bike path that is currently being constructed through South Central. The new path is replacing the old freight train tracks that run mostly along Slauson Blvd to the 710 fwy, but also cuts through residential areas beginning around Western Ave as it makes its way over to Crenshaw near Florence. At that point the old tracks were taken over by the new Crenshaw Metro line, but I'll bet they pave a bike path lane next to the Metro line from there to LAX. Or more likely, the path continues to the beach, and that bike path at LAX connects to the bike path to the beach.
That road there and also aviation Blvd need major repaving. So happy to see that they are going to make that whole area so nice! Thanks so much for all your updates! Please don’t stop posting. Love this channel!
I agree about the different names for different parts of the project. Showing a current map of the APM route and associated stations and structures would have been helpful. Thanks for the update.
Google Street View still shows what some of that neighborhood looked like. You can see alot of vacant lots and run down apartment buildings. Since that land is right under the runway paths, I'm not sure what else could be built on the remaining land besides parking. Maybe hotel buildings with sound proof windows.
Metro should of built a bridge or tunnel for the metro light rail that crosses w arbor vitae street. Traffic backs up at aviation and arbor vitae st when the light rail crosses. Also that area needs better lighting, it's hard to see the buckle road and pedestrian at night .
Do you know if LAXit will be relocating somewhere in or near ConRAC? And if not, will there be easy access from the people mover to the current LAXit area?
They're gonna milk that project out till 2027. I've seen several stadiums and skyscrapers break ground and be completed in the time they've been doing these "finishing touches" to the lax monorail.
The rumor is that LA Metro asked for LAWA to coordinate their respective grand openings so they could happen at the same time. LA Metro's shared transit station will take a little longer to complete than expected. The APM was going to open June/July 2024, but it's been moved back to October when it's believed that LA Metro's shared transit station will open too. That's understandable. I'm OK with a 3-4 month delay of the APM.

Yup some street views allow you to go back around 2008.
You could build retail and restaurants there and a parking structure. Maybe even offices.

Rent a car faculty is going to open before the people mover is operational . Passengers will be bussed to and from Lax starting April 2024

Sorry pal, your cynicism is unwarranted.
