Hello from Munich guys! What a great video! In my opinion: the best station for changing from the Airport to East and Central Austria as well as Italy is Munich East. You have different options to do that. You can buy a Bayernticket (day ticket for the whole state + Salzburg, Ulm, etc.) and use it in all close distance public transport in Bavaria and take the S8 to Ostbahnhof (East station) and from there change to the Regionalexpress train to Salzburg called Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB). You'll pay 26 € + 8 € per additional passenger (= 34€ for you two). Then you have two other options: the long distance train RailJet (line Munich - Vienna/Budapest) operated by the Austrian ÖBB or with the private Westbahn train from Munich to Vienna. The price in both ÖBB RailJet and Westbahn services can vary a lot. So you can buy it in advance if you would like to take one of those trains (except the BRB which using a Bayernticket has a fix price). But if you want or need to go to Central Station, you can use both lines (S1 and S8). They kind of form a belt between the airport and the city centre from west (S1) and from east (S8). The direct train service from Munich airport to Salzburg is under construction. P.S.: The Bayernticket can be used on working days (Monday-Friday) only from 9am till 3am of the following day. Otherwise, it's valid for the whole day (from 12am to 3am of the following day)
Thanks so much! :) We absolutely LOVED Salzburg, you'll have a wonderful time! We stayed at the Hotel and Villa Aersperg and enjoyed our stay. It's nice, walkable in a good location, and they've got breakfast!
What flight website engine did you use? You said scotch cheap flight?? Can you tell me the name of this engine? As we fly often from europe to USA.... thanks and great video... we will fly into Charlotte this easter
yes, we use scott's cheap flights frequently to find low priced flights. it's an email list you subscribe to, it is USA based so i'm not sure if they send/price europe departures? a great resource if they do! we also really pretty heavily on google flights. if you're going to be staying in Charlotte, we've got LOTS of restaurant recommendations! hope you find a cheap flight! :)
This is a hell long of a trip.
What is the nearest airport to Schroecken Austria? And what is the weather in summer?
