    Great video..love your drone views! Looks like an awesome day fishings..thanks for taking us along!👍 I battled my biggest freshwater fish this evening, had about a 20 pound carp on my 4wt, got her head on shore twice and third time I knew not to..but grabbed the 6lb tippet, and fish off!😐 That’s ok, she knew I had her whipped, I called it a tie.😂 I did catch 2 more around 5 and 7 pounds (after adding 12# tippet), great fights! Fish on brother Dan! 🎣

    Awesome energy loved this video! Amazing how colored up the river is. A lot of the glacier silt is coming from the Whitechuck (Sauk Trib). I think in late summer the glacier is melting at a faster rate creating all the gray color hues here.

    • @FlyFishDan
      @FlyFishDan  3 года назад

      I agree - glad the clarity was good enough that the fish were still biting!

    Looks like a god time was had by all; interesting water color.

    • @FlyFishDan
      @FlyFishDan  3 года назад

      It was a great time for sure! The water color is a mix of glacial till and the rain we had during the week. It was probably why we had to use really bright flies to attract fish (water clarity). Cheers and thanks for watching!

    Great video! Drifted on that river last week and had a ton of fun. Mind saying what section this is, that loggy section would be good to know about since it wasn't on the section we hit!

    • @FlyFishDan
      @FlyFishDan  3 года назад

      Thanks Josh! The section was Sedro Woolley to Mount Vernon - one of the off shoots from the main river towards the end of the drift. Pretty dangerous section for any bigger boat...lots of downed trees almost blocking the entire channel.

    • @JoshMendoza93
      @JoshMendoza93 3 года назад +1

      @@FlyFishDan Yea, that is why I was asking we have a bigger drift boat that looks like it would be a nightmare to get through that. Would have to shoot it perfect. Sounds like if I stick to the main river we will be alright! Awesome to see you get them on the fly rod, we brought one with us but didn't have any sink tips to get them down quick enough. Look forward to new vids!

      @@JoshMendoza93 Totally - they are thick in the main channels, we hoped to avoid the crowds by fishing the offshoots - things were working out well until we hit that last one...got a little sketchy for sure!
