I'm a cancer sign what I don't understand is that when we don't show our aggression is a problem, but when we do express it is also a problem. People are very confusing that's why we are intuitive so we don't waste our energy on people that are not worth our energy. Passive Aggressive for a reason! I don't agree with the mind-vs-emotions because I am very analytic and we do analyze before reacting although sometimes we truly feel people need to see the aggressive side but it would not be worth it. Omg i feel like people knew who i was before i did, one of the main lessons my parents taught me over and over was dont let people take advantage of u.I was so happy helping others I forgot to help myself , people were so use to me helping them they wouldn't let me help myself. So now i just nurture myself and sometimes to others here and there and its is just as fulfilling for me.
I agree with everything, I am a cancer. I found that holding back and not express my self causes more harm then good. At the beginning of any relationship I am unable to express my self and show my limits because of fear of rejection. Whilst the built up resentment and not showing my boundaries to people, people then feel comfortable and what's acceptable for them is not for me. Eventually the outburst happens where I am seen as too sensitive destroys relationships. I am now trying to learn not to take things personally but also find my self bringing up a wall. I am struggling with my emotions.
This is extremely accurate. My birthday is 7/20/78. I hope it helps others as it helps me. I unknowingly fueled a somewhat difficult path for my life. I was relentlessly bullied for 12 years at a young age. I told no one. These were my so called friends sometimes. I had to carpool back to my home. Never said a word. I’m 43. This past year the universe urged me to share and heal from it. I did so several times in a group setting. I thought I was going to crack my ribs I cried so much. And I’m a crier Even tho I was betrayed and hurt so bad. I didn’t want them to hurt. The bullies. What this did tho was spin off to me “getting back at people” in my thoughts. I’ve struggled with this for decades. Im finally connecting dots. I am not my thoughts. I understand them more. I have never hit another human being. Im not afraid of getting hit never have been. I’ve been afraid of what I would do to them if I crossed this line. I set boundaries more now. If a big one is crossed and my intuition spikes. They are no longer in my life. All my life people have said I am truly caring and compassionate and I love this about myself. It’s finally time for me to be compassionate and loving to myself. Im crying now as I type this last sentence. Thank you God Universe Guides and Angels. Im ready and I’m doing it. I love you all.

We retreat so that we don’t kill someone in an overflown burst of anger 😅 If a cancer retreats, let it retreat, because they are trying to protect themselves and protect you at the same time. We can’t stand injustice and just mean heartless people. But even with those evil people, we don’t want to hurt you because we have the basics of respect. I too have Cancer rising, and my sun is Capricorn. I don't know about you, but I find that I actually resonate most with Cancer on most every level (though I am more logical, practical and down to earth). I was just wondering how Ascending signs mix with the qualities of sun signs and what factors in a birth chart give insight into which characteristics will predominate.

I will state this: Cancerians are ruled by idealism (the moon) the energy of movement, through evil and good. This type of movement cannot be explained or expressed by anyone other than an evolved cancerian. The reason why cancerians do fail in self love is because of the way other zodiac signs perceive self love. This is where a lot of people go wrong. We cancerians feel much intenser so going to the mall buying clothes, getting facials is not the self love we need as an Aries might need. Self love for a cancerian is when you accept the movement give it a place, evaluate and release the energy. Look at how the oceans react to the moon, let alone us Cancerians who are literally ruled by the moon. It's hard to put it in the category of discipline and self love since this goes against our nature. We are creatures who need to accept to good and the bad, because we sense bad stronger than others, it's hard to ignore. That's why we are passive aggressive. No one can handle the type of emotion and feeling we handle so why would we bother? However, I do agree on that if you want to be evolved we need to focus on the educational part of self-care. This is where we can match emotions to scientific reasoning providing us the necessary tools to put that emotion in place and handle it internally in a healthy way so that we can express this in a positive way. Self-love for a cancerian is accepting that we are indeed different and that we need to take different measures to level and decrease the amount of movement in ourselves by providing a natural way of order. The moment a cancerian accepts that they aren't the status quo and the ones needed in society but rather needed in humanity, we will find peace. Leave the status quo to the fire signs since their energy is highly needed our energy is needed in healing.
I love this interpretation, thanks for sharing. At some point in development/evolution, Cancers can allow the feeling to flow without being afraid of feeling it. It's trying to stop the flow or trying to not feel it, that cause Cancer so much grief and any need for projection or blame to others. Own it, feel it, discover it's roots. Our feelings are ours. And they are a result of our conscious or subconscious beliefs. No one else is supposed to feel them, but us. I would add to this, though, that the idea of good and bad are subjective. They are viewpoints based on beliefs/opinions - not absolute truth. It can cause great suffering when emotion and beliefs/opinion get tangled with sensitivity to energy. Cancers have the great gift of sensitivity to energy. The key is in learning to discern, allowing ourselves to feel the energies without judging them or the source of them. Judging muddies the clear view or experience of what is happening. Sensing must be done with a fearless and open heart, otherwise it is poisoned by whatever fears or beliefs are blocking it. When fully open to the moment, to whatever energies are present, and to whatever we sense in the world or from others, feelings come, they come strong and they fully finish, passing right through. Cancers can tap into this ability as masters if they can grow beyond the fear of the feelings, by discovering their beliefs and conditioning, seeing through them, and releasing them. When we drop judgement about what we are sensing, we feel even more. But it bothers you less mentally, because there is no belief keeping you attached to it.

I'm a Cancer guy but I am not sure whether I have typical Cancer traits. I am intuitive but definitely not an emotional person, maybe a little bit sensitive.
