Congrats on passing! I did my Class 2 with Ben Shaw a little while back now and also did same to me. Any excuse (a butty) for the wheels to not be turning. Even turned up 2 hours early for test and my instructor was like 'yeah well we are here now so we wait'... 15 mins fair enough, but 2 hours... Got there in the end and passed but could have been a lot more fun and engaging and organised!
MIne 2 days of training, next day test early morning. Bricking it, i had to do the reverse first, show me/tell me. I talked all the way thru, got off with 1 minor for not preempting a light change on an uphill dual carriageway. She didn't notice me driving over the pavement twice, so i think it balanced it out =) well done Gaz!

I think everyone, regardless of final result, is convinced that they've failed before the examiner actually tells you. :) The other thing I'll add, which is something I've told everyone I've trained for anything, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask. This is more true in driver training (car, bike, HGV, etc) as it's your money that you're wasting if you don't ask.

Ive got the hgv 1 ,I'm 59 now, getting a job with tesco ,but I have no cpc,what a game ah ,anyway pleased you got your licence mate ,toke me back when I passed in the 90is.
I could tell through the whole video that you'd passed... your face was subtly beaming haha. I'm still waiting for my provisional from the dvla and it seems I'm shitting it about a lot of the same issues that you were like getting caught in the wrong lane or impeding traffic. Congratulations though mate. I'm in Rochdale myself and starting lessons in Chadderton so seeing positive stories so close to home really helps with nerves and what to expect. I thought I'd failed my basic driving test 5 mins in when I went straight over a mini roundabout without looking and for the rest of the test I was just on auto pilot thinking about re-booking lol.

It's only natural to be shitting it mate, I was the same with every stage of getting the licence, but on the day those nerves helped me focus and the dread of a retest was too much. I smashed millions of videos on RUclips and used my apps day in day out. Just ate, slept and shit revision for about 3 months. The fact that your on here doing the same is the right thing to do. I'm sure you will smash it pal. Good luck

Well done! Roundabouts are easy jus remember if you going left/straight then left lane and if right then right lane! Agency's are funny about new drivers but its more to do with the companies and there insurance not you or your experience. What is even more mind blowing is they will take you on any class jus as long as you have the licence so you could pass and not drive for a whole year then they will be yep we will give you a job! lol XD
if they offer you bensons for beds turn it down, they sent me there twice and both times the rear axle was bent over and i refused to take it, also NO is your freind its your licence you risk, they all say they are there for you but when the cell door shuts your on your own mate.

How are u getting in as a new pass? Any decent agencies? I only ask because I’m local to you :) sub number 40 here! Look forward to more updates
Hi pal, yeah I've been the same really, get Christmas out the way. I've signed up to a few of the Driver Hire places and just some ones via Indeed. Always check there for agencies advertising jobs. Good luck with everything
