Beautiful ❤️ however I don't consider most of these "renter friendly" - limewash, gluing ceiling medallions, nail gunning mouldings... They'll require significant re-modeling to convert it back. Many landlords will not allow painting and holes especially in a new construction.
The one bedroom is really pretty, but the studio is to die for! I absolutely love everything in the studio, and the color palette and lime wash is incredible. Great designs on both apartments.
I LOVE that peel and stick wallpaper art over the bed in the studio! Oversizing the frame makes the entire room look larger, and it is such an amazing focal point with the contrast of the dark wall color, gold frame, and bright floral. Totally makes the room!
Finally I remember..to subscribe after watching this video …… twice . My one small “ nit pick “ as we say in the UK is the mix up of the two expressions. Blank canvas and Clean slate .
Loved how the peel and stick tile reflected light from the windows and light fixtures in the studio! It made it pop even though the walls and tile were both dark colors. Brilliant!
I love what you did with both spaces! I would have loved if you would have included a “shop this room” list in the description because there were certainly a few furniture, lighting, and other items that I would love to be able to purchase through your links. Maybe next time?
I love the colour coordination in the studio especially red settee over limewash wall with gold coloured lamp. Blue colour curtain and the carpet choice is amazing.
I LOVE that neutral "Basin" color that is NOT gray! Thank you so much for showing you can do a calming neutral without using gray! Would have loved to see the bathrooms, too. Great makeovers!
Great job guys! I love them both. I especially like the wall moulding in the one bedroom unit. As someone who lives in a more modern building this is a great way to bring some historical charm to a place.
You guys have such great energy together, it really shows magnificent in the final results of your makeovers! Peel and stick! I did that years ago with a black flocked contact paper in a bathroom. Another great video guys, thanks so much for sharing your great ideas.
I can see how that dark studio wouldn't be to everyone's taste but I adore it - and as a design, it really shows artistry and intention in a way that dark spaces really facilitate. I live in a small studio right now and I can say without hesitation that I would looooove if my studio looked like that lol
First time here. I love both spaces. The second one is a more dramatic transformation and it does have the vibe of a much older apartment. It’s glamorous and I think it’s a space you’d dress up for. Definitely no sweats or jeans in a space like that. The only jarring area is the kitchen but obviously the developers would not let you touch that. Looking forward to more content 😊
Love everything but that really low bed in the pink room. Looked like a miniature bed for a doll. But that room was gorgeous. Everything was stunning, couldn't fault anything.
Great job! I really liked the furniture you selected--especially those russet velvet dining chairs in the studio. So my suggestion would be to add links to the furnishings in the show notes. The only piece you mentioned was the bed in the studio, from Joybird. So if you could reply and let us know where the dining chairs in that fabulous velvet are from, it would be greatly appreciated!🙏🙏🙏
In the second apartment, which is the studio apartment, I think it would’ve been better to use a couch-Murphy bed unit (murphy bed that folds down over a couch unit that comes with it. That way, the renter can have people over and entertain, without having their bed on display, and taking up valuable entertaining space. This would allow for a living room AND a bedroom combination, AND would be the best renter friendly use of the space. Also, your design in the studio apartment would make me feel trapped in, like I was in a prison. Sorry guys, but you really missed the mark on the studio apartment design/layout.
We hear you and wish our budget allowed for a Murphy bed in the space. Fortunately the bedroom area is set back a little so the bed doesn’t feel too overwhelming in the space. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy our future projects.
I like the one bedroom design. Not sure about the studio, it ended up looking like a hotel room as opposed to an apartment for living. The dark color made it boxed in and the furniture wasn't fit for purpose
I know these makeover 'shows' will have time & budget restrictions that may limit creativity & design but the executions here is so basic and random. That molding is way too thin for that big a wall. Molding is to dress up, elevate bare walls instead of artwork so the molding needs to have texture/depth and be interesting. Those thin bare looking molding looks like stuck on picture frames. Consider contrast in thickness & texture when choosing furniture & decor. I.e if all your furniture has thin legs it allows more light to come thru but can also look cluttered when there's too many visual lines. All the random buffets and shelving all stacked against the wall does nothing for the room.
never put a bed underneath a window. very bad design! ceiling medallions made of plastic. what a ‘bold’ move….. you walk into the space and land right hang in the ‘kitchen’…. the room is gloomy and dark, it’s not moody, it’s bad design. and the bed is humongous in such a small space, domineering everything. it’s not a bedroom with a galley cooking facility, it’s supposed to be a studio apartment. you call this interior design….. goodness you’re bad

They don't have to know about it. I've never told my landlord about anything I've done.
Great DIY ideas! Will try the molding.
Love it, especially the lime wash.
Love the depth that the suede looking paint color and limewash look gives off. Superb!

I love everything about this! Especially centering the sofa in the middle of the living room.
Omg so many renter friendly tips! I learned so l uh and wanna try some of these.

Speaking of charm, how charming are these two 😍

Turned out amazing!
You two have such an elegant style. This is especially true when it comes to loafers. 👍
Ha! Good eye our friend! And thanks for the love… hope you like these makeovers
@@BrownstoneBoys I do like the makeovers.
I really love the studio. It was so moody and colourful. Great job
Absolutely gorgeous
Barry & Jordan what an amazing transformation. Great to see how you bring brownstone charm to a very modern space.
The picture frame moulding makes such a difference to those walls, that’s my favourite part. Great job guys, especially with your short time frame. 👏🏻
Really appreciate it! And you’re completely right, the wall mouldings drastically changed the apartment!
me too! I love it
Well done 👍. Love the transformations👏
Jaw-dropping design.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ The one-bedroom apartment exudes an understated elegance and sophistication without sacrificing comfort and function. Great job gentleman!!!
Beautiful video..... Magnificent House 🏡
Peel and stick is my world and I don't care who knows it! Great job!

Jordan has such a great smile. I happened upon your channel and am in love. Y’all have such a great aesthetic.
Loved the living room! Where is that carpet from?

Happy Anniversary guys! 🥂 Hope you’re enjoying your celebratory night out. The one bedroom is simplistic beauty. Love the lime wash in the studio. 💙
Thank you! ❤️
Well done. My first viewing of your work.
Amazing spaces ! I need that black peel and stick wallpaper please tell me where to get it. Thank you in advance.
Love your ideas...
Thank you!
Love it!
Greetings from South of France🌟🌟⭐
But not the place for the bed in the bigger flat without protection (window)
Oh my god! You guys are extremely talented! great work guys ❤🔥
Good luck getting your deposit back with those dark walls.

They should have continued the paint throughout, not diggin' the very stalk white kitchen/foyer area
that is no "basic, standard, box apartment" in NYC..........it's BRAND NEW so everything is up to code 🤣🤣🤣 Rent $3705 >$4445 for studios
There's no way that 1 bdrm was 600sq ft, the main living space alone would be that size.

You lost me at the peel and stick tile...sorry!
Not a fan. Why try to bring “history” to a new building?
never put a bed underneath a window. very bad design!

you call this interior design….. goodness you’re bad
Awful. Colours are depressing, and furniture is not to scale in the living room. They are lost in the space
