A perfect marriage of historic and modern, with exquisite attention to the myriad of details throughout. Absolutely breathtaking, yet in such a quiet, restrained manner. This must be such a joy to live in for the owners!
I’ve lived in a brownstone in Park Slope and got to renovate just the kitchen before I moved, so I know exactly what the circumstances are. You guys are absolute geniuses at what you do. Really every aspect of your design is wonderful . Also your affection for each other is adorable. Great work in every way !

The only thing that made me go whaat…is continuing the wood floor in the primary bathroom, especially in the water closet. Yes, it’s gorgeous and I think you knew it had to be addressed as a design choice. I know I would hesitate to do so. I’ve watched all your videos, and I am always amazed at each project, blown away on this one, well done!
I can't think of a more rewarding way to make a living. A combination of both technical, and creative skills is the best! Plus, brownstones are awesome.

Very nice remodel. The top floor bathroom colors are nicely thought out, along with the multiple sky lights. The archways really zip It all up. Great job. I have something in PLG that I’ll certainly reach out on when the time is right for us.

The plaster molding is a showstopper but, the small details such as the effort to tie arches in throughout the project makes the house flow so well. Lovely work but I wish they’d done darker floors on the first level. The light floors don’t fit with that beautiful dark original trim and stair railing.
Totally get that light floors aren't for everyone! We did light wood in this space to help bounce the natural light around and make the space feel as bright as possible :)
I think the baby will be in that nursery until he is at least 8. It would be unsettling for a child to live on another floor by him/herself. Also, kids usually are afraid of the dark.

I am not sure how I feel about taking three residences and turning it into just one. I guess it is a way to keep very high end income people in the city so maybe there is some benefit that trickles down. The space is beautiful but I think I like the ones where things have been allowed to fall into disrepair and are brought back to life.
Visuals aside, all I see in this home are extremely high utility bills to heat and cool this house, or sweltering in the summer and freezing in the winter. When will designers stop opening up spaces and instead return to energy efficient design made possible by enclosing spaces?
Saving these original elements was the most important thing to us! It's not for everyone (which is totally fine) but we love mixing modern and historic 😊
Don't care for the white on white on white. Needs color. Also don't like the super modern light fixtures. Love how the staircase was opened. Why would coffins have been on the 3rd floor in the 1st place? Wakes were usually held in the parlor.

Why didn’t you get rid of those historical elements? They don’t appear to go well with the modern/new construction renovation
