@@MrMe-xs9gq hey I'm really really stuck in understanding the documentation of some new language... Actually I'm a noob in web dev and currently I'm learning the MERN stack but I'm having problem in practicing it while watching RUclips video.. Will you help me out
As someone who is learning html css and js. This video is probably 100x more important than any tutorial ive watched. You cant expect someone to hold your hand as you are a developer on the job. You need to learn to be your own teacher. And not rely on others.
first off I want to say as a complete newbie this man's voice and tempo to explain things was so useful to me. I usually have to rewind a couple times to understand a concept so thank you for your work its much appreciated
I wish I had come across this video when I started my degree 4 years ago. It is exactly what I have been looking for. A full explanation with a couple of examples detailing your process. I think this topic should be a module in all CS courses as it is so important and overlooked. Thank you so much Farish, this has turned on a lightbulb in my head.
Good choice of topic. I searched for this type of thing recently and to my surprise found almost nothing. Your video is a good start. However I would have liked to see you get into some of the more nitty gritty stuff as far as understanding the syntax of docs goes. Often I find it rather cryptic.
Maybe try specific videos for npm or maybe a specific library, or a couple languages and if there are videos see if maybe there’s common denominators and maybe this is a video you can create!
The best video I have ever watched on Documentation , so much information . I also got some idea that to make a documentation beneficial / helpful or friendly we need some prior knowledge of programing . I can't just jump onto a documentation as a beginner , first I will watch tutorial ( to gain some knowledge ) . ALL I NEED IS PATIENCE , PATIENCE IS A KEY . 🙏🙏
being able to read and from an official documentation of anything language or framework you're working with / on is such a rare skill to have and a very important one as a developer
I really enjoyed this video. I'm a self-taught developer and sometimes its the doubt of not knowing if what i'm doing is the "correct way" of doing things. Thank you for sharing it.
this was a brilliant video. I always felt intimidated reading the documentation but this puts thing in perspective. Thank you. I will forever be grateful to you
This has turned out to be one of the most amazing videos, I've ever seen. I got to learn so much from it. Can't thank enough. Please make some more videos like this one.
This is so incredibly helpful. I wanted to use documentation but there is always that small doubt that your code is wrong and so I have to watch tutorials or Google it. This is really helpful!!!
Hi Everyone! First, Mr. Ferrish, Thank you for great tutorial and plain clear explanation! 👍🏿 Second, Am I the only one who just noticed that Mr. Ferrish looks like actor Kevin James? 😁 Happy coding, Cheer!
Man I did expect a boring video on this subject but you have put me to the sleep faster than a sleeping pills. Would recommend that video to all people that can't sleep at night
This video helped me so much to understand how and where to look when trying to find more information as an beginner, thank you so much. Also your voice sounds so calm, just like an ASMR ✨
This was really useful, and I love how you covered a more back-end focused language like Python AND a more front-end focused language like JavaScript. It really helped to see two different documentations. Matter of fact, I bookmarked both websites you showed in the video!
this is what lve looking for. of course l do read documentation, but when it gets more abstract ot becomes really handy. l guess the key is to keep up and continue, until your really become good
Hello there. I have only just started today and the wisdom shared here is priceless beyond measure. I understand I am only at day 1 but watching this helps enormously. Thank you!
The biggest thank you codecademy. Learned programming basics yearrrrrs ago because of you, and now because not having this skill has been holding me back for so long.
This was such an awesome explanation Farish!! It is rare for me to watch a full video but yours was like a treat! Slowly and gently you have explained the intention of the video so beautifully and clearly and in simple terms for easy understanding. Thank you so much! God bless you!
Wonderfully explained. But the problem is the more you are eager to learn about things, the more its gonna take your time. And if your are working as a developer in a private company, ask you to learn the new technology over a week or so. So in that regard reading a whole lot of documentation is going to be pain in the butt
Think of keywords of the problem => search for results MDN documentation have interactive examples Understand the code by executing it by yourself. It's ok to copy the sample code and manipulate it to your situation.
Greetings from Bainsford, Scotland, UK! This is an excelent video and I found it very helpful in its aim of getting me started using documentation. I am almost entirely new to programming and I'm very confident that I will succeed in learning all that I wish to. Thank you for this!
It was a good and informative video, on a side note, I just Google whenever I am looking for something, most of the cases it is enough or maybe better in my opinion.
Thanks a lot for your guidance . Please do more niche topics others debt usually cover. I hope more video stay alive in RUclips for all future developers. I my self is learning python
Hey when people are new and want to learn a new tech stack, they're not able to understand the basics of anything Like you started from list, there are chances people do not even get that much clue. They're completely new to it. So can you help me with it how to read and understand a new documentation of any software.
the hard thing for me isnt the specific syntax, its figuring out what pieces and technologies I need and how to go about structuring a project. That's why I always end up turning to video tutorials. What would be better way for me to learn?
Hmm, i actually somehow learned most of this alone, But i kinda got stuck in knowing which function to call, Sometimes i don't exactly know what i'm doing. Any tips?
This is a good tutorial but it didn't help me at all, I'm used to reading the documentations shown in here, CSS/Python or any w3schools similar kind of documentation but I'm breaking my head trying to figure out those documentations that are divided by members/events/managers. I just can't understand what to do and where to look. Like Phaser and Pixi.
I get that they go slow for new learners to grasp concepts, but some of these videos go so slow they're mind numbing. We really need contextual based learning that puts the information to topics out more clearly and concisely. Like, this could have been a 2min. video, not 17 xD lol
Unfortunately the examples in the video are very easy to understand. What I want to know are those examples not describe well. For example pytest report hooks.
I can't stress enough that this is one VERY VERY VERY important skill every developer must have in order to be an adaptable developer.
Hey can you please help me with this. I really need to improve

why you read whole documentation...whole point is to how to search the method you are looking for to implement in your code.
Wow what a tutorial!. This is something everyone should learn when they're still learning to program. This is necessary.
you saved my life sir, thanks a lot
Thank you for this!! I hope you will have more videos on using documentation to learn. Thanks again!!!

Great video. A suggestion is to instead of just copy and paste, type out the code then you have to think about the code.
Wow! this is so cool! This is very helpful especially to me, who is transitioning to tech!
thanks it's a great help for CS students like me

Super nice info. Thank you. I just got a bit overwhelmed since I am just starting and watching a lot of code that I don't know intimidates me :D
Read the code ...break it by bits, search on what each bit or code snippet doing ...put it all together and try to understand the primary objective .

Not to sound disrespectful but I think you should drink more water. Good video.
8 cups of water each day ok?
The fact that this only ha 24k views is very weird

caugh or clear your throat or something please, the tone and constriction of the airway is making you sound sleepy, and in turn making me sleepy
This is something you will not find in those channels that wants to make you a programmer withing 5 minutes and earn 100k per month for you.
not bad!
