You already had the mind set that you where dealing with a lunatic and going to arrest him. This was not a friendly visit. If you where going there because of caring then why did you bring your shotgun?

The bottom line is a person was murdered

Constable Smyth is clearly incompetent and shouldn't have been there in the first place and due to incompetence should be charged with manslaughter.

They recall only when it benefits them. They recall your not signaling on a turn ect.But when it comes to murder from a constable.I dont recall is often said

This is unbelievable. A guy voices his opinion in a tweet and is shot for it. I don't understand the laws in Canada. Is there no freedom of speech there? The officer should have never been at this man's house in the first place. What laws had he broken to warrant an officer showing up at his house? If they shot everyone in the US that voiced their opinion on social media hundreds of thousands would die everyday.

What if I told you he was shot for pointing a gun at someone and not for a tweet? If you aim a gun at a cop on a traffic stop and get killed, the reason you got killed isn’t because you were speeding.

Curious to know that had a civilian had killed someone, that the police would have acted very differently. Obviously there is a different standard for police officers.

SuperNewf1, I am so sorry about your injury and society's indifference to the situation of the many people in this most unfortunate situation. I must say that your comment has touched me deeply, and definitely sensitized me to the issues injured workers face. Thank you.

The Schultz defense, I know nothing! Why is a corporal on the stand? Should there be someone with rank like a Lt. or Capt.?

This is scary! An articulate individual with a gun, on an Easter Sunday, with an inclination and confidence to take a life and get away with It.

Yeah, the officer and his family were under such a hard time. The other dead guy has two bullets in his head and one in his chest, but we're are really suffering over here. That's a good, damn shot to be moving away as fast as you can and still put two bulletin in the head and one in the chest . It's always best to make the 4th bullet miss. It looks better and it was the fourth bullet that missed. He's got excellent aim. He saw the gun and thought THIS IS MY OPPORTUNITY. BANG BANG BANG..........AND A MISS BANG .

What?!? He called b/c of everything that everyone had gone through that day dealing with the investigation he wanted to see how he was doing and let him know he was there for him but..... had no idea whatsoever what the investigation was about or that he was being investigated for shooting and murdering someone?!?!! Yeah ok. Whatever. And this lady is scared to death about the questioning. She keeps stammering and making it obvious she's asking the questions with concern in her voice as if it's a touchy subject for him to answer to. She's under duress and intimidation afraid she's going to receive repercussions to her questioning. It's like... I have to ask these questions plz don't use them against me after we walk out of the court room, I have to make it look like I'm doing my job but I'm on your side and I'm only going to ask questions that you can answer in a way that doesn't incriminate you or any of the officers involved with the cover up of this murder. My family and I are on your side. 🙄 pathetic. This Tyrants face is annoying! He looks like a tyrannical liar w/o even opening his lying mouth!

You want to know how he is doing but you never cared about the man who was executed at his home for voicing his opinion in a so called free country? Unbelievable how police officers get away with murder and worse .

We put dashcams in police cars to document interactions between police and drivers. Why not do it everywhere? Not difficult. No big expense. Smartphones are inexpensive and easy to use. This inquiry cost the taxpayer millions of dollars. A cell phone video would have answered every question.
