Soft Close Toilet Cover Seat Cylinder Replacement

This video showed how I replaced one of the cylinders in the soft close toilet cover/lid, which was broken and caused the toilet seat snap when closing. Purchased a "Cygnet New Soft Close Quick Release Seat Hinges Set Complete" and replaced it.

My plumber cracked my soft close seat cover while fitting....how can i glue it...tried many things...nothing worked

Hi, thanks for sharing. May I ask how do I know it's the damper cylinder problem. My soft close toilet cover is not working (the seat is still working) and I watched another youtube mentioned that to add grease. But I could not open the cylinders, so it seems no way to add grease. Is it the damper cylinders I need to change?

Try and find the manufacturer of the seat and then Google soft close toilet seat dampers and they might be able to locate the correct cartridge you need to replace, they’re not that expensive but some damper cartridges can’t be repaired but needs replacing

If it doesn't lift off like this, WD40 sprayed up into the holes the pegs fit into using the flexi straw released mine with a bit of sharp upward tugging (ooh err)
